An extremely well built and finished watch no doubt, with a price tag to match! If only I had so much money I didn't need to worry about it. I did have an opportunity to examine and try on one of the original JLC gyrotourbillons at a Herts GTG and that was breathtaking. 117 jewels and a £250,000 price tag as I recall.

A work of art for sure, but I don't want one (fortunately)

Looks amazing but I would be too scared to wear it anywhere due to the price! A watch your more likely to see on the catwalk than at your local newsagents'...

Love JLC generally, but this one just doesn't do it for me... I do love the master control collection....

New JLC Gyrotourbillon 3 announced today

They always come up with something at SIHH, although I preferred the Duometre Gyrotorbillon they did last year.

If you need to ask you cannot afford it, and if you can afford it you don't give a toss.

I like it! It looks to me like they have been looking to Greubel Forsey for styling tips.

An engineering masterpiece, but Gyrotourbillion makes it sound like it should be on QVC!

How many of these are they ever likely to sell?
Do they only make them to order?
Does that mean that if you do want one you have to wait an extraordinarily long time for it to be made for you?

I'm pretty sure that whilst they're not built to order, there is a limited run, maybe 75? There will always be collectors who will buy them and probably just put them in the safe.

I've seen a Duometre Gyrotorbillon in a shop window in Paris and also know one was in a shop in Vegas, so they must appear.

The Gyrotourbillon 3 pictured in the first post has a limited run of 15 pieces (according to the image on the back)

The new "Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon Cylindrique à Quantième Perpétuel Jubilee" has a limited run of 180...

Personally, I prefer the look of the Jubilee tourbillon than the gyro tourbillon, but the gyro tourbillon is something special to watch.

JLC have also released an ultra thin, just over 4 mm! The movement is less than 2mm thick.

Bit too much going on there for a classic JLC, but it's a helluva watch.

The good news is that it's 75 pieces...the bad news is that it's 378,000 Euros

The watches, or the owners? ;)

Not that you'd see any of these in the wild, wherever you might be. Straight into the safe, which JLC often provides also, to save you buying a new one.

Nice watch, but seems like a lot of cash to get a fraction closer to the accuracy offered by a good quartz. <Runs and hides>
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!
