Also been watching from the start. Bit slow to get going but all the storylines are developing nicely now. Any idea how long it's on for?

    It's 6 episodes.

Ground breaking TV, imo. Slightly crummy conspiracy plot line, but beautifully filmed, challenging and shockingly violent scenes (for a TV drama), all the characters are interesting, if thinly drawn in some cases. Anyway, enough amateur reviewer stuff from me. It's excellent, and the first thing in ages that I absolutely don't want to miss.

For anyone who has missed it, the best way to watch it is on-line, due to the 2.35:1 aspect ratio it's filmed in. If 4OD doesn't work for you (and many have problems with it), then all three of the episodes so far are also on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=EL8u1dkBKMZsc

    Highly recommended.

Edit: Expect to see it mentioned in the Daily Mail tomorrow.

Completely agree with the comments so far. It's the first real programme that i've wanted to watch in a long time - very refreshing / if a little brutal!

Although i've taken to recording it and watching it 30mins later, so I can fast forward through the advert breaks.

Only seen upto half an hour into episode 2, but enjoying it so far. Strangely I thought it was really old to begin with as the 2 hitmen seem to look very young in it, one of them looks younger in this than he did in football factory nearly 10 years ago, the other fella looks familiar too but again looks younger than i thought he should be, if that makes sense. Good though.

Yes been following from the beginning. Beautifully shot and matches the top quality that the USA knock out. Must see TV at the moment.

    Yup really enjoying it!

Strikes me that it's been shot like a graphic novel..... Which I guess is the point!

Wonderful series and ending. Is there definitely a second season?

Well they are already selling the DVD of 'Series One' so it doesn't take a genius...

Went and watched it after seeing this thread... and so far (having seen 2 episodes) I am enjoying it.

Was a bit confused as to why it didn't display properly on my tablet though... seems to have been filmed in 2.2:1 aspect ratio!

I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm not sure about a second series though. All the main story lines are closed (other than what happens with Janus), and half the characters are (potentially) dead or dying soon.

I'm sure Wilson will survive and be on (Mrs) Rabbits side, the Welsh woman will be pregnant and the nutter with the limp ( raisin boy) will save his sister Jessica Hyde.

The way elements the plot can switch so easily and the number of doors left open, I think it's been left wide for a second episode.

Hope so, thought it was the best thing on TV for a while.

    Colour

it's like it was filmed in Cibachrome. Super saturated colour, as mentioned, maybe to give it that 'graphic' feel. Really works well. I like a slow burn development of a story

Bloody hell - the sweet and angelic (until The Incident) Alice is Aled Jones' daughter! That somehow makes The Incident even funnier...

Watched this for the first time last night... have to find the first series now.

Seems to be loosely based on the transhumanism themes in Dan Brown's book Inferno from what I've seen so far. Interesting topic.

Just watched it this morning, absolutely brilliant. Can't wait for tonight's episode.

Utopia Season 1 was prior to publication of Inferno though ;)

Some of the plot points of S1 will be slightly spoiled by having seen this prequel episode though ;(

I didn't say it was based on the book... I said it was based on the themes of Transhumanism (per Inferno).

An ethical conundrum. Not sure which way I'd vote, if it ever came to it.

I remember seeing the trailers for the first season, but forgot to watch it. Trailers for second season have reminded me to go back and watch the first on 4OD. Really enjoying it so far.

    This!

Was totally gripped by the first series and this one's off to a good start

Have it series linked, but not watched last nights yet. Is there a decent recap of series 1 at the start? If not think i might re-watch series 1 first as i can't really remember how it ended.

    No.

But you will soon remember the details as the prequel evolves. I couldn't remember any of the details at the beginning of the prequel (Janus, anyone?) but loved recognising the characters and plot lines as they developed.
