Leather looks great, but I think the buckle needs to be a bit more substantial to balance the thickness of the leather. Nice work!

I've just made this one for a work mate (26mm). Excuse his taste in watches
I used a Superdry belt that I bought but was too small as it matched the original strap colour.
Nothing fancy with this one, although I was happy with the burnishing on the strap edge.

After distressing a leather nato recently I quite fancied having a go at making some straps, although in all honesty, I'm better with metals/solids than I am with fabrics!!
Are the setup costs for these quite high, i.e. tooling, materials, etc? Could you recommend some basics?

All this, including hide came in at around £100. You could obviously spend a lot more on additional equipment but as this is only for personal entertainment, I didn't want to go overboard incase I got bored of it or was completely crap at it
I'll check it out Jon, definitely something I would like to try :)
