1972 Speedy Pro - What do you guys think?

I found this on the Bay in the US and thought I'd ask you guys what you thought. It's from my birth year and I really fancy a Speedy from then. Is this any good do you think, and at that price (I know it'll go up, but what's reasonable?). I can't get onto SC yet so don't really know if this is worth the money as I'm new to this game!

    Cheers in advance.

no bracelet and possible high import duty, I wouldn't go over £1200. The watch looks great, everything is correct.

Customs have been really hot on packages coming from the states recently.

Expect a large bill to release it.

Hadn't even considered tax! That'll sting a bit too. It's a bloody lovely thing though!

Watch looks OK, very pretty, not sure if its all original though, the case and caseback just look too new, sharp lines and not a ding in sight, possible modern replacements.

Personally I wouldn't spend that much on a vintage watch from overseas, you could end up with a large customs bill which would be difficult to recover if you wanted to send the watch back because it was not as advertised. Buy British!

Thank you gentlemen. I'll keep the money that I haven't got and look around more carefully once I can get access to the SC.

And it's advice like that I joined the forum for! :)
