typing a reply and the enter button

Something strange has happened when I attempt a forum reply: the 'enter' button no longer lets me move the cursor down a line any more, pressing tab makes the cursor disappear. How do I get it back to normal?

It's fine for me. Using tab will make the cursor move to the next part of the page where a value can be changed and is completely normal.

You are probably using Internet-Explorer 10, which causes this problem. Try pressing the "compatibility" button at the right-hand end of the address-bar; that should fix it.

I had this problem and found something in 'settings' that referred to text options. Didn`t understand it but changed it to 'standard editor' and it seems to have worked. My setting was on 'enhanced'
