Eddie - Have you ever considered making a ani-digi watch?
Lol. Where is the love ;)
I'd love something like this ImageUploadedByTapatalk 21368216976.689615.jpg or this ImageUploadedByTapatalk 21368216992.873325.jpg
Would be a great addition to the timefactors range.
I think our host pays for his Internet access by the word - like you used to with telegrams...
I considered it several years ago, I haven't made my mind up yet.

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
When you asked the question I thought about if there was any military issued Ani-digital that I knew of. Can't think of one but I'm very far from being an expert on military watches. At the same time, I thought of this:
And then I though that the B&R came to my mind because I would love that someone made a decent homage of these 42x42 watches. But fully analogue
Don't most of these use the same ETA movement? The 988.333, if memory serves. I think they're in B&Rs, Breitlings and a fair few others.
I think they're relatively competitive in terms of the unit costs. Consistent supply might be an issue though, given all this ETA/Swatch group nonsense.
Breitling ana/digit's were issued to the air force in Sweden in the 90's. Probably in more countries as well. So definately a military connection there!
So room for a Precista SAF?
Here's a discussion about this... http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.ph...ry-Breitling-s your probably don't want the one on post 17 - Iraq Air Force, Saddam era
I want the watch from the movie Stranger Than Fiction.
And a pony, definitely a pony.
Great movie btw, I recommend it.
Is that Orient CVZ00001B still available? Google doesn't find any for sale and there's none on eBay.

This appears on the face of it to be an active sales site for the Breitling-like Orient CVZ00001B above, but I don't know if it is actually still current, or now out of date:

The watch is stated as "Out of stock" on this following website, but there is a short video of it farther down that some might be interested in for reference:

Can one actually read the digits in other than bright sunlight without pressing the backlight?

I've never sought out or run into and seen a Breitling Aerospace or Emergency, which I would guess are the professional grade ana-digi aviator tool watches which all ana-digi watches are judged against, so I'm not sure I even know what a good digital display should be like. I also know next to nothing behind the technology of digital display screens.
Having said that, though, Eddie, could the battery of your new but older(?) and "pre-owned" Orient ana-digi be in a low state of charge and that might be effecting the quality of its digital display?
