Eddie (or any of the other expert denizens here),
Having just ordered the new PRS-68, I was wondering about the "Smith's" label/brand. Is there a horological history to the name, and if so can anyone share that, please?
Thank you,
Jeff.

That's very interesting. I'd never heard of Smith's on this side of the 'pond' until I recently joined TZ-UK and saw it listed. The way they were mentioned as being into all sorts of instrumentation makes me think of Panneri.

Jeff.

Strangely they don’t mention anything interesting in 2009 ;-)

I very much appreciate your sharing the info with me.
So, Eddie has acquired the rights to Smith's wristwatches and Roger Lascelles has acquired the rights to Smith's clocks? Very interesting.

Jeff
Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
Congrats on scoring a venerable old name brand. This makes me appreciate the PRS-68 that's coming all the more.
BTW, UPS estimates delivery on Monday. Coincidentally, I'd scheduled that day off from work so I'll be there to receive it immediately in person!
Regards,
Jeff.
