    Another year, another SOTC

I realised the other day that i haven't started many threads and I only once posted about my collection of watches when I first joined in over here, so as another year has past, my collection has had some additions and a few have been culled I thought I would post a state of my collection to share with you all.

I seem to have unconsciously removed most of the light dialed watches with the exception of the chocolate dialed Black Bay (newish addition), panda mod Speedy and the blue Aqua Terra, ending up with mainly black dialed watches ( not sure why that happened) but at least a couple add some colour via the bezels.
    I have generally sold off the watches that weren't getting much if any wrist time, with the exception of the opaline dial Omega Aqua Terra 8500 that was sold for two reasons;
1)I wished I bought the smaller size 38.5mm over the 41.5mm
    2) I had an itch for getting the GMT master II and needed to sell something to part fund it.

In my watch journey I have realised that I like watches on the smaller side, preferably sub 42mm and I love vintage and new "heritage watches", I would prefer the original vintage watch over the remake but the prices are getting silly on a lot of the vintage watches so I have to settle for the more affordable new watches ( how crazy does that sound.... I can't afford an old watch so I have to buy new or nearly new) and I don't like many chronograph watches particularly auto's due to the hight they sit at on the wrist.

Any how enough rambling on, here is my collection as of today...

    Tudor Black Bay

    Omega Aqua Terra 2500

    Rolex Explorer 114270

Rolex GMT Master II 16710 Coke

Omega Speedmaster Pro, modified with the panda dial mod.

Omega SMP 2254 modified with 2230 dial and PO seconds hand.
    Precista PRS14 ( Seamaster 300 homage)

    CW MKI C5A

And my beater of a watch, the reliable old Steinhart Ocean black

And a group shot all together

I would like to add the right speedmaster 105,003 ed white, a Longines 180th anniversary mono pusher and maybe a Rolex explorer II white dialled 16570 and I need a perpetual calendar of some sort to round off the collection if funds permit but we will see how time and temptation changes my thinking.

A nice little collection you have there. The pics are good too - especially like the Black Bay one.

Thanks for sharing, and here's to the next 12 months........

    Thanks for the kind words.

I'm still learning on both fronts, watches and photography, there are a few on here that set the bar high!

That is a terrific collection and really great pictures. So many classics it's hard to pick a favourite.

Lovely collection. There are 5 of them I'd love to own but I wouldn't kick the others out of bed either.

A very nice set you have there Sir.

Of course I would say that as I have four models in common with you in my collection

Great collection. And Dalwhinnie a favourite of mine (try Glenlivet 18, and Dalmore 15 as well)

The AT on leather looks lovely!

What a nice restrained collection of quality watches - and with no bling in sight! All beautifully photographed too.

Never really got the Tudor bug, but yours, sans date and cyclops, looks particularly fetching with that leather strap.

Spanking collection Clarky. Of course, I expect nothing less from a fellow panda speedie-ite.

The strap on my AT is this one: http://www.watchobsession.co.uk/HIRS...ch-Strap-BROWN

( I have no affiliation with watch obsession, but I have bought a few straps from them and had good service)

Thanks matey - was thinking of putting one of them on my vintage Speedy. How's the comfort/fit on the wrist?

PS Dalwhinnie is my fav whisky too ;-)

It is a very comfortable strap, I little stiff to start off with though.
I would say that the leather grain side if the strap feels a little plasticky due to the water resistant treatment, so if you are after a soft to the touch strap this might not be your best option.

PS it does look good on a speedy
