Spambot gone bad, perhaps.
Similar happened on a forum I was on meany years -- it was a large general purpose forum and someone was (legitimately) using specialist software to distribute data to multiple clients in a private area of the forum. One day their bot went nuts and started posting their data all over the forum! In that case it was a legitimate user whose software went nuts. In this case... perhaps less legitimate.
Some fireworks on WUS...

You amazing Darwin!
Funny, you are so disgusted by both sides, calling people ingnorant but you are not disgusted by the Dogass owner who started the shitstorm.

Your post there (reply#66) is remarkable since you stated.. "I didn't take Jake's comments as a dig at Eddie at all.."
Who are you? his lawyer?
The truth is, you are one of the fanbois and you are not going to BS me, period!
If the situation got ugly like you stated on WUS, wasn't vokotin or Eddie's fault.
Go and read the reason why that thread was closed by Mod Nalu (Colin) and who knows... one day you'll understand but I'm telling you, I've no more time to waste replying to your nonsenses here.
Wow! I've enjoyed reading your posts here and on WUS, Rorschach/Vokotin, and don't understand your hositlity toward me. Pointing out that people are behaving badly on both the Dagaz side and the Timefactors side hardly qualifies me as a Dagaz fanboi, I don't think. All my comments have been intended to defuse the situation and stay neutral -because that is truly where I am. I am a fan of both Eddie's work and of Jake's work but do not consider myself a fanboi of either. I have pointed out the positives of both company's 6105 homages and stand by my comment to which you linked - I didn't interpret Jake's comments as a personal attack on Eddie (and just to be sure, I went back and re-read his post). Ill-advised on that thread, certainly, but hardly an attack on either the watch or the man behind it.
In a perfect world I'd have both the PRS-68 and the Typhoon. As it stands, I cannot currenlty afford both. I hope circumstances allow to have both in the future. FWIW, I'd also like to have a PRS-18A, a PRS-50, a PRS-3A, a Smiths Everest, and I am increasingly seduced by the PRS-30... In contrast, with the exception of the CAV-1 with date, there are no other Dagaz watches that interest me. So no, I really do not think that you can, based on my comments here or on WUS, label me a Dagaz/XW Watches fanboi. Having the temerity to say a kind word about Jake and his watches here (or on your PRS-68 review thread) does not diminish my appreciation of either Time Factors watches or of Eddie.
Darwin, I have nothing against you and if you re-read your replies to me here, you have been the one who went "hostile" in the first place.
Believe it or not, if not not provoked I'm the most chill out and polite guy on the earth, but when I see arrogance or someone BS me or insulting me I become a tiger and can't help that's my nature, hate me if you wish.
I would suggest you to re-browse and re-read the whole thread word by word again, I can assure you that was the greatest shitstorm ever, "mind readers" like coldbeer_839 etc.. "extreme fanbois" like ChrisGalbraith etc.. posting stupid comments without knowing sh@t about sh@t and "trollers" like White Tuna etc..
Once again and I'm sick and tired to repeat the same things here, Jake B is the only culprit, the bad guy who hi-jacked my thread to vent his frustration about not being able to deliver the "hand made" Typhoon's and to insult Eddie's reputation calling him a dishonest business man who misleads his customers about the origin of his products and IT'S NOT TRUE!
That is all.
Well, I certainly can't fault you on your logic regrading who triggered the brouhaha on WUS. I agree, Jake's posting was in bad taste in that he posted it in a thread that was an appreciation of another watch. I thought he worded it carefully to avoid pointing a finger at Eddie directly, but can see how it is open to other interpretations. Don't know what his motivation/intention was as I have had few dealings with him directly. I also can't contradict you on the "shitstorm" that ensued. It was not pretty. This thread has been ugly in places as well. In any event, I've reread my posts in this thread and while I wasn't intentionally being hostile to you, I apologize if that is how I came off.
No need to apologize Darwin.
Once and for all, I think it's time to move on now, this is my last post here.
I imagine each "side" feels the other "side" is behaving badly.

Like Rorschach, I've resolved to quit this debate and this thread, so this will be my last post in this thread. If you are unable to see any evidence of Time Factors fanbois behaving badly - by which I mean, and I should have clarifed this earlier, posters making wild claims and accusations without anything to back those claims up (there's been a lot of "my neighbour is cheating on his wife" type of comments; gossipy, high school-ish remarks from both sides that haven't substantiated - then I won't be able to enlighten you. Read this thread and the WUS thread Rorschach and I have both alluded to (I'm not going to link to it) and you should see what I mean. If not, such is life - we are all free to make up our own minds, have our own opinions and to enjoy either - or in my case I hope eventually both - of these watches.
Regardless of anything it's; a watch, it keeps time, it works underwater.
Everything else in this thread is spiralling towards fanboyism and however firmly held your/our belief is, the rest of the world is shaking is head.
daft question maybe but where are the owners photos/threads so I can have a browse?
Don't seem to be too many about because they only recently went out for sale I guess. Just had a look on the watchuseek site from the link below and if that's the Dagaz one I think I would go for the Smiths one personally. Just my personal opinion but the Smiths one looks better all round.
I've just checked Darwin's posts and discover that he's only ever posted in 3 threads relating to the PRS-68/Dagaz. Curious, eh?
Eddie
Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
To be fair, his second post on here was extolling the virtues of a second-hand PRS-14.
A Precista watch sub-forum focus is to surely to be applauded - especially when so many nowadays appear only to join so that they might sell their tat in the Sales Corner...
Oh yes, each to his own. Nothing wrong with having an interest in a particular watch type.
