    I like white boxes

Even if they do take my watch fund overdrawn............ :)

Watch fund now stands at minus 40p. :(

Looks like no more watches for me for a while.

Still, I'll enjoy this one. It's been on the 'wanted' list for quite some time.... just been waiting for a good-un to turn up.
    Best Regards - Peter

I like white boxes and I cannot lie
All you other WISes can't deny
That when the door bell rings and the post man grins
Sticks a white box in your face
    You get sprung
    Time to get rough
Cuz you know that box is stuffed
The bubble-wrap at which your tearing
Holds the Grail you'll soon be wearing
Oh yeah, ain't never gonna flip ya
    Just take your picture
My friends they tried to warn me
But that ten-fortyfive make me so horney

I was shopping in Cribbs a couple of weeks ago and the chap sat next to me while I was having coffee was wearing the standard model and it looked the bizz.

Guy, you want to know what I got comming eh  well just say that I am skint, but it did not cost me Sea Dweller money :D

Good luck :) the Dynamic was always underated IMO and is a great watch prefer the Chrono personally but for me its just a bit to small by todays standards (like the woman next door always wants something a bit bigger  )

Spot on on all points Guy. :D :D :D :D

I was passing there the other weekend and stopped to look in the window - always fatal

And there it was, looking up at me saying "go on, try me on......... you KNOW you want to.......".

So I did, and it looked so gorgeous. I've wanted one of these for a while and it took me only a few minutes to wilt and spend all of my remining Watch Fund, (which is now a total of 40p in the red  :( ), in one go.

The 'tin', often missing, is absolutely mint............

The red cussion and black pouch are perfect................

All the docs are there, including the glossy mini-poster with suggestions as to how to use the tin :D

And, as a bonus, it was fully serviced only last November at a cost of Ģ155

Everything is in absolutely superb condition and the watch is stunning....

I'm very pleased with it, even though I have to curtail my watch buying for a while. :) :)

A future classic? Who knows, but I like it. :D :D
    Best Regards - Peter

Thanks guys, and as the advert says "I'm loving it". :D :D

Jussi, yes, I've seen quite a few that didn't have the tin and/or docs. :( That this one was complete with everything, including the recent service receipt, and in such good condition, (there isn't a mark on the bracelet), put me in a position where I just couldn't say no.

Now I have to start saving like mad as I'd like to get the non-chrono version to go with it. :) :)

    Ace Peter!

I saw it on the website end of last month and was really tempted. I even entered into an email dialogue about it, but for some reason didn't pull the trigger.

Still, my loss is your gain - the service and complete docs/bits make it a mean deal!

    Enjoy.

    Cheers,

    Guy :)

Thanks Guy. I even managed to get a little movement on the price too which made it even sweeter. :D :D

He does get some really nice watches in, and most have some provenence. He has a lovelly Seamaster 300 in at the mo, but that was way more than I could have afforded. :(

Certainly a nice chap to deal with and his prices seem quite fair. I always have a look in the window when I'm in Southport as it's quite close to where I live.

    Nice find Peter!

I do like the Old Watch Shop, and the fellow in there is terribly helpful. You also get to meet quite a few interesting people whilst stood on the pavement gazing in the window.........maybe one day it might be me!

I saw the SM300 too; on the website the hands look a little too new for the rest of the watch, but this isn't the case at all in the flesh; it's always nice to have somewhere to go where you can meet these fine watches face to 'face'.

Enjoy your new Dynamic....and remember it ISN'T too nice to wear! :)

    Best wishes, Colin

Crikey, that's more than I managed! I suppose when face-to-face it's a little easier to manage that.

Nice one anyway - looking forward to some more piccies.

    Very nice. :thumbright:

Definitely a future classic IMHO, if it isn't one already. And they couldn't shift them when they were in the shops. Weird.

    Thanks Colin.

Yes, Mike is a smashing chap and very helpful.

I'm often there window shopping on a Saturday, and sometimes in the week if I'm in Southport. You'll regognise me from my picture in the 'photographs' thread, (without the turtle), and the shackles Lynn has me in until my watch fund has built up again (it's now up to a stunning Ģ9.65p so Car Boot Sales are back on   )

Yes, the SM300 looks great in the metal, nice patina, looks nicely 'used' as I think it should. :)

Oh, and I certainly WILL be wearing the Dynamic. All my watches are wearers. :D :D

I think it's possibly due to the fact that I'm a repeat customer having bought a few watches off him in the past. :D
