    water resistance

I always wondered why you insisted on such good water resistance in your watches Eddie. After todays events I now know why and all that building work in the garden wasn't a new office it was a an ark. Any flood damage stock going cheap?

Apparently we had as much rain in 24 hours as we usually have in a month. If I ever get flooded, 90% of the UK has a much bigger problem.

Thanks Tedd, we are having a Record Drought here in the States.
Is there some irony in that? ...and please, no comments about the "global warming" lol

The wife told me that the heavy rain over the last 24 hours has revealed a small leak from the flat top of our upstairs bay window. Quite reasonably I replied "Don't tell me, just fix it".

I too am monitoring the situation with interest. My mate is having his Stag Do in York tomorrow. We had tickets for the Racecourse but that's rained off. We're even worried that the trains may be up the spout.

Assuming we can get there - 21 blokes now with nothing much to do in the day apart from the obvious.

    Any ideas Eddie ?

Yours for a cup of tea and a tour of the operation maybe?

    Regards,
    Martin.

I've just arrived back in Plymouth after a weeks motorbiking around Spain & France, during which time I never saw any rain.

However, the ride back from Plymouth to home was undertaken in one of the worst downpours I've experienced; the rain was hitting the road so hard it was bouncing back up and soaking me underneath my waterproofs

    Nice to see summers here...............
