    DC66 pic request

    Hi all,

Considering a DC66 but I'd like to see some more photos before making up my mind.

Also, if anyone can shed some light on availability it would be most appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Wow that sapphire is BLUE, the AR coating is really cool on the Damasko's.

I always liked that the sun reflected from the sapphire on to a wall looked purple.

I was seriously considering changing my UX until I saw that picture and realised just how hot a watch it is.

After seeing this thread I'm wearing my 'personalised' DC-66 tonight

It's definitely been in the watch box too long

I do like the look of the '66. I'm wondering if the new-style bezel (sans strip of metal 'tween bezel insert and dial) is an improvement or not.

The 66 is a great looking piece, I've been tempted to put one on the list to go with my 57 and 36 several times!

The DC66 really appeals to me but recently the Sinn 757 has started to tempt me as well.

AR coatings, applied externally, have their detractors. But this shot shows beautifully just how effective they can be - compare the legibility of the Damasko with the washed-out markers of the watch to its right (and to its left - that Ocean7 looks like it has an inner coating only).
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!

The three watches also have smudgy finger prints on the crystal that are hard to see. The reason is because I took a picture of my Sinn U1 at the same location to point out how bad the AR on the Sinn was when dirty. Out of the three watches in the picture The Ocean7 has AR only on the inside. The Damasko has great exterior AR and the Kobold Seal seems to have no AR.

The 'bad' AR is more to do with AR itself rather than Sinn's or anyone else's AR coating. My glasses have AR coating and they are a bugger to keep free of smears unless you use a cloth designed for cleaning glasses (available cheaply from all good Optician's).
