the price is reasonable. although check the service history as the modular movment is expensive to service. best of luck
Hi Guys,
Need some advice here please.
Having got the Italian LE, I thought I was going to be happy and not need another fix for the near future. Same old story, took a walk at lunch time in the city centre, walked passed a jewellery store, saw what seems to a some used watches, took a closer look and mostly were gold rolex and seamasters.
Looked again and saw a watch that stood out, went into the store to get to see the watch, pilot style Omega Dynamic chronograph. Nice, large pushers, two sub-dials, arabic numerals. I'm hooked.
Things is, I know very little about them, and I know there are some members here whom seems to know a lot about Omega. Basically, is there anything I should look out for? What price range do they fit in? The sales guy wanted £300, is this reasonable?
Thanks in advance for any information.

I think that sounds like a pretty good price. My sense is that the general consensus on the Dynamic is that it is an underrated watch that when bought at the right price delivers good value for money.
Good luck :)

Hi,
They are really nice watches, had one for several years (since new) but sold it about 6 months ago. I never had a problem, although the person I sold it to had an issue with the power reserve, so we sorted this out.
So my only advice is to check that the mainspring is ok - that is it holds a power reserve of around 42 hours.
For £300 I'd buy it like a shot!

I paid more than that for my non-chrono one, I'd grab it like a shot at that price as long as it runs OK.

Using the search is usually a good idea. Here´s something, with the aforementioned you´ll find plenty more
Good price.
Troublesome chrono add-on to the base movement, as others have said.
Original bracelet is cheap. The strap is preferable, although they don't age well.
These were unloved when new. Most dealers had a job shifting them, and hefty discounts were common. Now they have a bit of a following. Worth a punt for three hundred sheets. You won't have any trouble moving it on.
I like mine and paid more than 300 from my chrono.
What I feel:
- Classical style
- Easy to see time "pilot style"
- A little small according todays standards but not too small
- Very good lume
- Accurate
- Time setting is tricky (but possible to learn) if you want minute hand line with seconds.
Bottom line: Go for it.

Haven't had one myself, but long admired the style. I agree with these guys.Originally Posted by JCJM
At that price, if it's got provenance, jump at it. A future classic. :) :)

I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.
Been investigating on the net and as already mentioned the chrono module is the worry part as repairs are expensive. It does not come with box or papers but I will check it out tomorrow.
Thanks again for all advice.

Great watches. At that price I would grab it if the condition is good.
