I had never heard of Damasko until I joined this site, I do rather like that.

TOP Tottie !!!! I'll be interested in a review of the accuracy etc when you have time.

Did you buy local or go direct ? Just asking because of the probs our leader had with them as a supplier IIRC.

They state its got an abrasion proof Damest layer. I'd be interested to know how this holds up over time as this is a much cheaper way to get the IWC Topgun Ceramic look I love.

I will answer a couple of the questions posed above.

It is the DC56 Si in black and I bought it from a UK supplier. He did confirm that Damasko's customer service is abysmal. They are extremely arrogant and do not understand the concept of the customer always being right! He places orders and has no idea when they will be delivered. They do not like listening to customer feedback. Having said all that he told me he has been to the factory many times and considers the owners to be friends of his now. He tells me that they are fanatical about quality and their standards are very high. The quality of the watches is amazing. He thinks they price the watches too cheaply for what they are (perhaps he would say that!). I would certainly be prepared to pay more for it if I had to.

The watch looks and feels fantastic. I don't know how well the coating will wear but apparently it is virtually indestructible. I'm not going to test it intentionally but time will tell.

I have only had it a day but so far the timekeeping is extremely accurate.

    I just love it!

    A couple more pics:

...and as for accuracy, it's running at -4 seconds per day!
