There are no "general" holidays in Germany. Every state (Bundesland) has it's own school holiday period. Several already have school holidays, the last holidays will start this weekend. However, I 've worked for several firms that continued working during holidays, but the pace was way slower than usually.
Finishing projects simply wasn't possible, due to lack of capacity.
However, it was an entirely different product that was made in the firms I've worked for.
