Omega Speedmaster liquid metal caliber 9300

I just pick up a new Omega Speedmaster yesterday. Before i went to the watch store, I had 3 watches in my mind:

    1) Omega Speedmaster Black dail / steel case ref 311.30.44.51.01.002

    2) Omega Speedmaster Liquid metal / titanium case ref 311.90.44.51.03.001

    3) Dark side of the moon Black / ceramic case.

This watch was ment to be my every day watch, so i decided to buy a watch with a metal bracelet, so no DSOTM this time.

When my eyes so this Blue liquid metal color, I just knew that this was going to be my new watch. Every time I look at it, its a different color I see. When its a little dark in the room, the watch i almost black, when the sun is shining its bright blue , and when its cloudy whether is a kind of grey-blue.

So what do I like about this watch, well:
    1) Design / history (moon watch)
    2) Color
    3) The watch is made of titanium
    4) Caliber 9300
    5) Finisch
    6) Brand

    Dont like
    1) Price

    Data:

    TECHNICAL DATA
Crystal Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides
    Case Titanium
    Dial Blue
    Water resistance 10 bar (100 metres / 330 feet)
    Size Case Diameter: 44.25 mm

    Some pictures

    Regards Henrik

    Tillykke!

Good pics of a beautiful watch! I think you captured the changing color very nicely. I wouldn't mind having that one myself.

    Cheers,

Now that is one beautiful watch! I was thinking that eventually I'd buy a 3750 but this could tip it for me. Hoping you put it up on SC at some point

Lovely watch, and I like the blue colour.
Although it's a speedmaster, I think the link with moonwatch is a little thin. If that was my no. 1 criteria, then I'd be rethinking.

A really great looking Speedy. You must have large wrists though if that's 44+mm. It would look like a dinner plate on mine!

My wrist is 20cm - 7,9inch. But I will not talk about my weigth

By the way, this one is with ceramic bezel, thats what gives it that glassy look

The wrist shot looks much better than most I have seen of the 9300 Speedies, perhaps this is because the bracelet has been correctly adjusted to be snug, where as lots of pics seem to be of people trying them on unadjusted which makes the watch sit very high on the wrist.

Exactly, the 9300 series watches need to worn fitted into the wrist. Here's my POC on rubber as an example:

Lovely watch, good choice. Unfortunately just a tad too big for my girly wrists, but looks great on you!
    Gratz!

I've been looking at these recently and really like them. I love the standard speedy but personaly think they do far too many models/special editions most of which are a bit meh. This however is realy nice.

That looks really nice, I didn't realise there was a liquid metal speedy. One of our sales guys has a dark side of the moon. I love it on the shop display, but it did nothing for me in the flesh. Didn't seem to look right with a suit.

That liquidmetal alloy just works well on that watch. Also the PO.

I agree with your summary, I like everything about this watch except the price. (which is exactly how I feel about the Rolex Submariner too)

Omega Speedmaster liquid metal caliber 9300

It is lovely and a beautiful speedy. I have seen these and they do give the DSOTM a real run for the money.

But whilst it is a Speedy it ain't a moonwatch! Sorry that's the pedant in me!

    Enjoy it everyday!

    Henrik,

Any chance you could post another (same angle) wristshot, with a well known watch, so we can compare, as that Speedy looks small on you.

Lumme. That looks like how a Speedmaster Reduced would look on my wrist.

On average sized wrists you get this triangular effect where you can hide a pencil between the bracelet links and the wrist (see shot below from someone who like me would probably be better off with a smaller Speedmaster!):

...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!
