Heads up - Lidl tea boxes back in from 06.11

Looks like these are back in this week - I've been keeping an eye out for a new watch box for a while and these seem to be popular with Tz'ers

I've done the Lidls tea box thing and tbh it will always look exactly like you've got your watches in a tea box from Lidls.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

Great for keeping your straps and tools in though.

Meh, who cares? Great, affordable way to store watches I think.

If you don't like 'em, fine, don't buy 'em

Just ordered one of these as i am strictly a three watch owner nowadays. If i ordered a 4/5/6 watch case it would be tempting to buy more watches...

    Only because you know!

Has anyone tried staining them a darker colour (although would need sanding first...).

Hopefully they will be a decent size, I find Dulwich watch boxes nice to look at but low on usability.

I have ordered via Amazon so if it's not up to the job it will go back. The only issue most people seem to have with them is the pillows/cushions are a little small but hoping to obtain 3 decent ones from my local Rolex/Omega dealer this week.

Best ones I have had have been the axis watch boxes from Amazon, cushions fit just fine.

Maybe there are different models in the Dulwich range but I've an 8 watch Dulwich and it's excellent. Nice big cushions so the watch is a snug fit and lots of room for the watches so you can shut the lid and there's still lots of clearance.

They're also quite handy for keeping sunglasses in.

Hahaha, to be honest you can't argue with that statement!

They fit nicely into a small beech Argos bookcase to make a nice display piece.

Might give the cushions a go though to improve the appearance.

You'd be wrong. I have a lovely wife 15 years my junior also with an interest in watches.

Watch boxes are a great idea as it allows a burglar to take the whole collection quickly and easily.

There is a lot to be said for keeping your watches wrapped up in the sock drawer.

Ha! Lucky you (with regard to the shared interest that is) :)

That's brilliant! Got a similar display of whiskies but can't see watches being allowed even if I had enough to display..

Very true Mike. Always a worry, but I keep the valuable stuff stashed away as best I can.

I've got the same box and size wise it's fine, the only issue is the pads don't stay in place when's its placed on its side which means it's a bit tricky to get into my safe, easily fixed with foam though. Only problem for me is it didn't restrict me to 3 watches!

For that very reason, I have a watch box that proudly displays all my sub-£40 beaters... on the hope they snatch and go...

Good thinking! My late father-in-law used to keep a 'sacrificial' safe containing a brick in the bottom of his bedroom wardrobe. Not saying where he kept the valuable stuff but his ingenuity was amazing.

Cheers for the heads-upon this. Just picked myself up one from the Poole store.

A little on the big side for my needs, but a small compromise to make for the money.

I second this. Sounds like a good idea! and something I will look to do something similar soon as I keep all of my collection together at the moment in one box that is not hidden.
