It's ABP in Paris (place du Marché Saint Honoré in the 1st arrondissement), they are more famous for their bespoke leather straps, often in exotic skins.

Like the idea but don't like the little flappy bit that sits on your wrist. I've taken to wearing the shorter one piece canvas straps that are more like a regular strap.
My work watch is a 16600 on a black perlon strap which I think is rather spiffing.

I have several lightweight, quartz utility watches kept on black Natos which I wear for my daily 'hands-on' work in the building trade.
Nato straps seem almost designed for this type of duty and I will never use anything else - at work.

For me, when the ratio of Nato cost:Watch cost exceeds say 1: 15 , it begins to look suspect.

I love them… I find them the most comfortable way to attach a watch to my wrist. Maybe as I have some nerve damage in my wrists and the reduction of weight helps?

But generally I like the look and colour too!!

i have tried a bunch of them on a couple of watches, i've tried to like them but just couldn't get on with them

i find them not particularly comfortable and if i wear them for a while they seem to abrade me a bit

i wanted to like them because i have trouble finding straps that work for me, i've tried different ways of using them, tried cutting the second flap off but not so far, not for me

zulus are much thicker and have much beefier buckles and keepers, they are also available with and without the 2nd piece on a nato (called 3 ring zulu without and 5 ring with, like a nato)

I'm quite fond of them on the right watch - particularly where you have fixed lugs, where they are indispensable. They certainly helped me through several months in India where leather would have rotted and it was a time when I didn't like steel bracelets (don't worry, I'm cured).

As a matter of interest, how much do ABP charge for a NATO? Given what Omega are asking these days I would hope that they've not upped their game, so to speak.

I like them and have been wearing them since a long way back. Got my first proper nylon one in the 90's, but had a couple of leather quasi "natos" before that. I've got weird and small wrists. So even the downside for some because the watch head sits higher makes me look less like a mutant. TBH back in the day I didn't even realise you could get leather straps in different lengths, so I always had an awkward overhang flapping in the breeze. Even with a short strap They only work on me with slim dress watches under 35mm. Bracelets can work on me only if they're quite thin and I'd have lots of spare links after... So yea Natos/G10's have been a godsend for me TBH. That said I'd like to be able to wear leather straps more, but like I say mutant here.

The basic nylon straps are 20 euros a pop; they do them from 16mm to 26mm which seems a plus. If you want your NATO in alligator or python they'll knock you one up for 300 euros.

I find thin NATO straps very cheesy. A good thick on is okay. They feel cooler on a hot day, cooler than leather or steel.
