Paris CDG Airport - duty free

Tried the search function but couldn't find much

Are there any deals to be had at paris charles de gaulle Airport. Only thing I could find was that Rolex only do certain non sports models.

Is the duty free element worth it or are the prices bumped up?

Sorry if this is an old subject that has been answered 100's of times.

I am there on Sunday so will make sure to try a few things on and take plenty of pictures

Have a good trip, could save you around 20% but tax free only goes on CDG when traveling out of the EU (unlike AMS).

I never knew that though!! Are there any other airports in the EU which duty free can be purchased for 'internal' flights? Anyone know?

I got "duty free" price on an Omega SMP at Manchester Airport when flying to Greece in 2011.

Your quite right. When I was there at the end of last month they had a SDc, DSSD GMTc, non date sub and a whole host of DJs in. The SDc worked out at £5.350. That was based on the exchange rate on the day minus 20%. If you could guarantee what they were going to have in, it makes the £90 flight worth it.

Sorry may be me being a bit slow but what's the 'minus 20%'? Like you say . . . Worth the £90 fare and having to spend a day walking the streets of Amsterdam!?!

That's the VAT, the tax you save.

Yep. There's worse cities to wonder around for the day. On today's exchange rate you'd get one for just under £5k.

I'm sure the main jewellers in the terminal stock breitling. They stocked most of the well know brands. It was them that had the SDc and DSSD.

When we were wondering around we stumbled on this place. Just up from Red Wing shoes.

    You'll find a good shop in Terminal 2 E.
Prices are french prices, without the VAT if you are travelling to/from outside EU.

They might not have latests models like Milgauss GV-z or SD4000.

They wont tell you whats in stock at Schnipol and obviously you cant reserve a watch either. So it could be a disappointing trip.

New stuff arrives every last week of the month, and usually good selection of watches. Plus, they have two other stores there as well (another one located at the international gates, and one in public access area, they can get a certain watch from another location fairly quick.
