    Loving this weeks pick-up...a gift from the Emir of Kuwait to Brigadier Wickenden in 1973 for his help in assisting the Kuwaiti Army with medical services. He was Director of Psychiatry for the British Army and combined services and stationed at NATO HQ on the Rhine in Germany in the early 70's. He was asked to join the Kuwaiti Army and help them and put in place practices to help servicemen with drug and alcohol problems. As a mark of thanks he was presented with the most beautiful 'wide boy' Datejust with Kuwaiti Army military crest dial. Came with a letter of provenance and some pictures from his son.

    Now I'm not the biggest dress watch fan but I'm rocking this on a shocking blue NATO strap and domed non-cyclops crystal! A keeper for sure!

    HAGWE ALL!!











    and here he is in the late 70's....I think we can presume this is not Kuwait!
