Nice looking watch. Hope you enjoy it.
Ok, probably not the best thing to do but I went in blind on a watch that I saw and ended up winning the auction. I tried to do a bit of research before bidding but couldn't seem to find out much about it. Other than being from March 1978 I dont know much else....
The watch is a Seiko 7546 6060 Silverwave Z Quartz Diver, it looks as though its fully original down to the bracelet
I paid a price I was happy to purchase it at (whether or not it's the going rate or not I dont have a clue) but am hoping some of the more knowlegdgeable people on here can enlighten me and tell me a bit more about my purchase.
Here are the pics from the auction

Nice looking watch. Hope you enjoy it.
Not sure what you paid, but it looks pretty nice. Enjoy!
Thanks guys, yeah it really caught my attention when I first saw it which is one of the main reasons I made a bid.
Still struggling to find much info on it, not sure whether is a JDM model but hoping one of the Seiko gurus can shed some light on my purchase

I like that, very nice indeed. Looks like 15600Y worth every day of the week :)
Does it have a pip on the bezel?
A few things look odd to me compared to the automatic divers.
The hands just look different but maybe its because i dont look at quartz watches in the seiko range.
No counter balance ball on the second hand for instance.
At least the crown is right at the near 4 o clock position.
Is it a screw down crown?
Thanks for the comments guys, to be honest it was the look that really caught my eye in the first instance, am just looking to find out a bit of history about the model etc.
Trott3r - I dont believe that the watch had or has a bezel pip ? And from the pictures I have managed to find I also believe the hands to be original and correct to the watch.
Looks great and completely correct, the 7546 movement is the brother to the 7548 used in the more commonly seen bigger quartz diver which in turn shares some parts with the 6309 auto movement, they are interchangeable with hand sizes stem etc all the same size. I cant comment on the JDM question, but check to see if it has a Kanji day wheel, thats a good indicator.
Nice looking watch, to me the lume on the hands looks to be a different age to that of the dial but could just be the picture.
