    Probably shite.

They b(r)ought an old name back to life and created a wannabe Newman Daytona with it.

Don't know about the price, but if I were you I'd focus on something else.

Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!

It's a no from me.....maybe wait and see if Eddies chronograph comes to fruition instead? Not that I'm comparing that to anything our host would produce!

Thanks for the feedback, I have to agree about the looks, but I still wonder about the build quality.

There was a German eBay seller knocking these out for about £30 to £40 not too long ago, which I suppose is a pretty good price for a Miyota powered chronograph. If you like it, go for it - you're not going to lose much money.

I was hoping a cheap price would put this into perspective and i could say yes, not bad all things considered. Unfortunately the more i look at this the more i dislike it.

    Any pictures of the links?

Folded links are an indication of a poorer quality bracelet.

If you are looking for a good watch and cheap. Save a bit more and get a seiko or citizen. Imho it would be

It's a quartz chromo movement,so it'll be 1/10ths of a second. And I don't like it, sorry - it's just a little off in lots of ways... But those little bits add up.

I think I brought this more than 2 decades ago

Don't like it apart from the case and screw down crown and pushers. I've been looking for a good chronograph with those features but that not it. Cheers

    not good i'm afraid.

if it's cheap and you like it then feel free, i suppose everything has a value/price point.

I'm surprised at all the negativity towards this watch to be honest when Eddie's Daytona homage has had so much praise. Visually (obviously I expect Eddie's version to be of a much better quality), there's not a lot to choose from:

I rather like them both :D

    That's not for me either.

I've not owned one but a few here have and, for the £40 - £60 they cost from Amazon or certain Ebay sellers they appear to be pretty good value. However I've never seen this model before. They do a range called Speed Timers that come in a couple or three different dial colours and I think they're a decent punt at the price.

OP - why not amend your post title to "Opinions on Gigandet Please" then you might get some owners giving you first-hand opinion and experience.

There is a thread somewhere, might even be on WUS, saying what great value for money they are. And although they are homages, there are some better designs. Look at Amazon & e-bay.
In fact why doesn't someone actually get one in their hand and review it? (Not me, currently on 5 watch restriction from SWMBO!)

I'm going against the grain here, I recently bought a speedtimer black dial with orange hands, mine has a domed crystal mod which Imo for the money looks superb, ive put it on a honey Hirsch liberty.Good value and just a bit of fun, just one thing they are quite large.
