    Saturday night TV

I can't believe the rubbish that's on Saturday night at the moment, I can put up with Ant and Dec but what is this utter garbage about hypnosis......I can't believe that someone like schofiled would put his name to such cack, I guess if you're paid enough you'll host any old Shyte.

We've got the mother in law round and so the missus has got "you're back in the room" on in the background. What upper tripe!

Pure 'sun reader' cack. I usually resort to something I've recorded, or net surfing.
I guess it must be high figures for 'the masses' or someone. Cant stand it!

Agreed. Saturday night used to be the night worth missing the pub for (sometimes). Now it's tat from five to whenever the late film or bedtime arrives. Unless Dr Who is on.

The good thing about tonight's TV is that if it wasn't so bad I wouldn't have retreated to here and thoroughly enjoyed Boy's room instead.

I can honestly say I never watch 'live' TV, part from sport. There's just so much choice on demand or via internet to put with the 95% dross or when there is something decide, to watch it at the times it's shown rather than my convenience. I think TV schedules as they are now will be finished in a few years. Now, just about to go back to Heroes via Amazon Prime :)

Haven't watched Saturday night TV for sometime now as like the OP I find the likes of Ant and Dec to be inane drivel. Most of my watching is now time shifted or of late with the reintroduction of The Following on Sky Atlantic focussed on satellite not terrestrial

Never watch any TV at its broadcast time, that's what Tivo is for.

Terrestrial TV in the main nowadays is the worst type of tripe imaginable.
    Cheers,
    Neil.

Normally dinner party/social/piss up at someones house in our village on Saturday evenings so TV is not an option. Was our turn this week. Messy.

Had a pile of stuff on sky plus to avoid watch in the anything with a&d on. Have say the modern formula for accessing TV is so much better than before.

Went to see Dylan Moran this week so now have the opportunity to introduce the Mrs to Black Books too.

You're more resilient than me then!

I rarely watch ITV except for some of their drama, but clearly we've reached the time of year where all the TV schedulers believe EVERYONE is going out on a Saturday night.

We watched 'Cuban Fury', which we recorded some weeks ago, oh and some ski racing from earlier in the day.

I don't think me and the wife have watched more than a few hours proper telly in months. Since we got Netflix we've just been watching TV series on that.

Live TV is out to lunch here too.

iPlayer is the order of the day.
