I'd like to say I like the new Sinn EZM 3F



Gets a countdown bezel, legible white date, loses the EZM3's unpopular minute numerals, and WR is down to 200m, more than we all need anyway.

It will be interesting to see the price, but I feel that this (especially following the good value price of the EZM13) will be a welcome return to good honest tool watches at good honest prices.

I also like the new time only version of the 140 with an internal bezel (the 240), it looks really nice.



And the U2 C (which looks like a DLC black version of the U2, with the DLC applied over tegimenting) looks super stealthy

Wierd isn't it. Comparing like with like (3 hander price with Sinn in-house chrono price)

240 - £1060 on leather
140 St - £2800 on leather

Nearly 3 x as much for the chrono

And yet

EZM 3 and 3F £1280 on bracelet (slighly disappointed that the 3F isn't even slightly cheaper - bunging the customer £50 for reducing the WR by 100m would have been nice). I would be very tempted to ask Sinn to put a 3F dial in a 3.

Comfortably under 2 x the price for the chrono

Makes the 13 look good value (and the 140 very poor)

The countdown bezel makes it a Flieger (rather than a diver), hence the F suffix, I suppose. It also means that the rubber strap is a simple silicon armband with a pin buckle (see the options on Sinn's site: Pilot Watch EZM 3F).

I agree that it does look good...but I don't think my EZM2 is under threat (yet ):

I like that and, as you say, it will be interesting to see what the price is.

It might be cheaper on the silicone strap, rather than the steel band. A US site is listing it on pre-order for:

$2,050 on steel
$1,990 on rubber
$1,830 on leather

And I've just seen it listed at £1,170.00 for the leather strap option (same site as above).

I'm divided on these. On the one hand, I love the original although they are a tad on the small side by modern standards. I also like the sunken subdials. Even though it's a small step away from the minimalism of the original, it's subtle enough to add interest without ruining the design. However, I really dislike the four fat markers (especially the one at 12), which just look like a bad attempt to knock off a classic design without understanding it at all. I know they are knocking off their own design, but they aren't Max Bill.

Back to the one in the picture, is the dial colour all that's new here?

First the most elegant of the lot in my opinion, a recreation of the 62GS from 1967, first up in white gold, limited to 100 pieces and probably a touch pricey.

I really like the look of that and I've never especially liked the Datejust, so clearly something must be a bit different about it. I'm not certain, but I think it might be absolutely everything aside from the bezel (which also seems to have much thinner fluting for less of that somewhat ugly "pie crust" look).

I was just thinking, that new Globemaster is the nicest looking new Omega in about 12 years even though it's just an upscaled reissue - but now I've got "pie crust" in my head and I can't shake it off :)

You mean the all-white Chanel knock-off? It's 44-something mm wide, and 16mm thick, or 20mm, I can't remember. It doesn't really matter. Women (especially with big hair and orange skin) wear bigger watches than men these days, so this watch has got that market all sewn up...
