Well, the 17C is in the box and winging its way to brynglas, and I felt I needed another chrono on my wrist for the rest of the afternoon. So I'm now wearing this

Have a great weekend everyone. :)
    Best Regards - Peter

    Lovely watch.

    For me today, it's EcoZilla

No pics yet, but the thing is definitely a monster of a watch.

Thanks Bob. I searched high and low until I found one in this condition. I'm now on the lookout for a similarly conditioned Dynamic Date to go with it.

    Hi Henrik.

The patch was from Countycomm - not aware that it's a knife manufacturers' design?

These are currently being used in the US military special forces community as an unofficial morale patch.

THE HISTORY OF THE CALICO JACK FLAG: John Rackham was a pirate also known as "Calico Jack" due to his preference for calico coats and britches. He designed and flew this flag in the 1700s. The crossed sabers symbolize his readiness to fight. Maritime Boarding Parties started to wear these flags during the Gulf War. Counter-Terrorism teams have also recently start wearing them to symbolize their readiness to fight and win at all costs.

When ever I see "community" used like this, I always get pictures of the folks involved standing in a circle, holding hands and having a singsong. The song they're singing is either "KumBaYah", or "I'd Like to Buy the World a Coke".

So, in this case, the picture is of a bunch of big, heavily armed folks, with dark grease paint on their faces, singing away. :)

    Best wishes,
    Bob

Could not agree more Bob - the description was cut & pasted from Countcomm's site......somehow the word 'community' does not sit well with that kind of group.... :?

Perhaps they use it because the term is so "elastic". As suppliers, are they part of the community? Do they supply the community, if they supply stateside admin staff? ;)

    Best wishes,
    Bob
