Been on my list for years and arrived this morning:

apologies I've been trying to work out how to upload pics from a phone for 4 years and still can't do it even though I've changed from Samsung to IPhone.
I have been tracking the SARB017 for some time, kept looking at it but never pulled the trigger, until now! It arrived today and I really like it. Always a small gamble when buying a watch you have never seen in person. Based on lots, lots, lots of internet pictures and reviews and my own experience with other Seiko's it was a small risk and I am happy I took it!
The dial is lovely with the unique green dial, contrasted by gold numbers and hands. The case has a nice shape and both polished and unpolished parts. The strap is indeed rubbish so I put it on a Darlena Woodland, which I have also seen here. What a great piece in my humble collection (mostly divers, so this stands out).
And a proper strap
This has landed :D
Thanks. I have mostly larger watches, even big ones, but this suits the model fine unless you have a really huge wrist.
Hey Guys,
First post on TZ-UK! My incoming is the Smiths Everest. I purchased a pre-owned and had it briefly before I had to sell my entire collection after my wife lost her job over three years ago. The Everest left an indelible impression on me that I knew I wanted to get another when the timing was right. Now comes the wait, but it will be worth it knowing mine is brand new and this Everest is the first timepiece I'm adding to my new collection.
Nice watch and I keep looking at them. I like the compass bezel but never sure if they line up N to S. The photos I've looked at all seem to suggest they are slightly off centre but it could be they are hard to photo.
That's about the only thing that's held me back from getting one. Cheers
Fancied one of these for ages but could never find one, and then got the chance last week, completely out of the blue. Absolute Marmite but I love it...
I'm having to learn how to tell the time again but I have no doubt that it will be worth it.

I actually have two coming one is a Used Bedford chrongoraph that I'm dying to get. It's my first automatic Chronograph
My other incoming is another first for me it's a gold S. Coifman Limited edition
As always happens two have come to me this week.
The Mondaine is not my typical watch, but this was my late father-in-law's. We finally decided to take it off his bedroom table and it comes to me… Feels quiet nice on the wrist. By far his best watch.
I was hoping on our mass sort out of the house I was going to come a crossed some issued piece from his 25 odd years in the RAF. No luck. There was a bunch of old beaters and my other half was bringing them out and she said "one left"… I said jokingly this has to be the Rolex. It was! A terrible fake he would have probably been given in Saudi when he was working with their airforce – it had been used as the ultimate beater and was bashed to hell. It was funny to pull it out as I said it – another good laugh doing a horrible job. The watch now resides in the dump where it belongs.
The Steinhart Nav B-Uhr 44 is a watch I have wanted to try for ages. Getting use to it, but looks really attractive on the wrist – NATO of course. The leather really was not that comfortable for me – especially at this size. More thoughts I'm sure on this weeks Friday thread… a better picture too!
Q&D picture of the brace:
Finally got round to getting one of these.. Had been waiting on the right deal and it surfaced yesterday. The Euro certainly helped.
Pic shamelessly stolen from a thread here, though I got the watch from WUS, but got both the leather and metal bracelet in the deal. Should be here by the weekend. Very happy.
I originally posted in this thread to give friendly suggestions to someone looking for a three-register chrono. Then I got all worked up about some of the photos in there and now I've got one of these on the way:
You are all bastards for feeding my addiction!
^^^ I love how clean and simple that is, but at the same time very striking!
Mop dial speedmaster for my other half.
Impossible (for me) to take a photo showing the dial but it's killer.
Thanks.
Thanks to Kiki Picasso and SC, I'm now wearing this fantastic Glycine Sub. Always, always struggle to post pics as I use an iPad to post but had to share my new purchase so using Kiki's link, if I've done it right, which I hope is ok with him

First impression are really good and completely suits the NATO it came with.
Jon
Lovely pics, particularly the glowing hour markers
Speedie reduced!
Stunning but I would be terrified of marking the watch glass.

I love this thread and check it regularly (almost as much as 'buns') for new posts.
Anyway, after a very long search, I have finally tracked down an MIH. For the uninitiated, this annual calendar, monopusher chrono was designed by Ludwig Oeschlin and Paul Gerber and was originally created to raise funds for MIH museum. Here is a link to the website:

I am thrilled with it and it adds an industrial modern dimension to my more traditional collection.
Oooh....nice!
Well done for opting for something different from the norm.
Read about that one a fair while ago, and had somewhat forgotten about it, until a few weeks ago.
