Thread: Too much?

    Too much?

I think I'm leaning towards too much, with the possible exception of very casual summer wear...

It's certainly eye catching! I think you hit the nail on the head with 'casual summer wear'...you can easily get away with that in shorts, T-shirt and flip flops.

Wondering why people with no interest in watches are on a watch forum?

That's gonna be an insect magnet. Had a Valentino Rossi hat that colour, was like being a giant flower.

Yup, shouldn't be too hard to find a nice watch to put it on

Not for me as the shade of the strap makes the dial appear "washed out"

That did occur to me too. It's not that noticeable from every angle but the dial is definitely a shade or two lighter. If I decide that the principle of a yellow strap has merit though it is quite an easy fix - the strap is the darker of two yellow options sold by Orbis Morgan and they're not expensive.

Think I'll be ordering some more from them so will probably try the lighter shade too.

For the money they seem a good strap - not as stiff / firm grip as an actual isofrane and in fact slightly less firm than the black Borealis attempt I also have but closer to isofrane feel than Eddie's version (which has it's own place with a very different feel)

    Not at all.

But definitely get the paler yellow strap, the one you have at the moment clashes with the dial.

My suggestion is a) get the paler yellow strap for this watch and then b) get a watch with a deeper yellow dial to go with the current yellow strap. :)

I'm a fan of bright straps with casual summer wear so I totally get what the idea is. My OCD won't allow two shades that don't meet closely enough though.

How about a Glacier Toshi with matching yellow stitch?

Looks like it would be a tricky strap to fit (solid and tight fit). Orange might be good - to make the colour difference more dramatic whilst

    keeping the summery feel!?

I don't dislike it, the wrong yellow.
It doesn't compliment the dial as mentioned previously and draws the eye away from the watch to the strap.
Have a play here with the analogous scheme

The suggestion to try an orange is a good one.
