That's expensive for a 5. He also has a 17Q which is currently at a sensible price but has 5 days to run.
now on eBay - £360, with 5 days to go! http://www.ebay.com/itm/PRECISTA-PRS...item1c4ff1ff6b
great watch.

Yeh noticed that one. Sold mine for 210 a while back. Didn't quite like it enough but I kinda missed it.
Noticing that listing I gulped.
Actually the PRS-5 looks better... the subdials don't clip the numbers.
I pointed this out to my wife a few days ago. Her response was to ask me if I would be selling mine?
No
Good answer.
seems to be a debate over the hands - I side with the 5's. Extremely easy to read. Also seen on some Sinn models.
Hey Matt,
You know, it's funny; the PRS-5 is the only Time Factors watch that I never got on with. I have owned two, one of which was the watch famously modified by Lambstew using NOS Precista hands. Even that didn't last with me ultimately (although I considered keeping it just for the hands, which were worth 10x their weight in gold).
But literally every other Time Factors watch I've ever had has been a home run for me. This would include the PRS-22, PRS-29, PRS-36, PRS-53, and the PRS-82.

For me there's something very special about the 5, the high crystal and those lovely needle hands although they do divide opinion.
Only gutted I didn't pick one up before the were discontinued.
@Myron. Perhaps it is the beadblasted look vs SS you didn't get on with?
Hi Allen,
I can't say for sure. I didn't like the syringe hands, and thought the watch that had been modded with NOS Precista hands would solve it, but they didn't. I never really liked the bead blasted case, although I don't mind this look at all in other watches. I never really liked the crystal that seemed too tall. Most of all, I never learned to appreciate the movement, although they were beautifully decorated. I really don't know what it was about the 5. Something about the whole being less than the sum of its parts somehow...
Myron
you have highlighted what an interesting adventure in the pursuit of perfection and resulting fulfillment (although sometimes not lasting) of finding the watch that is ideal for you.
Mine is also kind of "myroned":
Will never part with it.
Cheers

nice shot, nice combo
Seems a bit more realistic; finished earlier today at £235 including postage:

always thought-provoking how some watches sell for more money than usual...
I once sold a watch that was being bid up way over its value. It seemed to be getting out of hand and I didn't want to deal with a disappointed buyer so I added a comment to explain what I paid for it and even where I bought it. The bidding continued anyway and it sold higher than I ever thought it would, for really no reason.
if someone wants it they'll pay. Problem is if you have to fight another stubborn bidder for it!
I also would bear in mind the global shipping programme or simply if it's listed to be able to post worldwide. This will increase potential revenue.
I also hear of stories of shill bidders and subsequent pull outs and second chance offers etc...
