Not sure whether a third season of Utopia would be sustainable, i wasn't overly impressed with the ending of season 2 (still absolutely loved it though, would recommend it to anyone).
Have you watched Children of Men? I like to think of it as a dystopian sequel 50 years or so down the line from Utopia. Awesome film.
Yep enjoyed the first 2 episodes of 'Better Call Saul.' Loved that they showed that he is still alive in the first one - though obviously living in fear and re-living the glory days by watching his old adverts. The back story is quite gripping and we can start to see the slide although Slipping Jimmy shows there was always a dodgy side to him.
I almost gave up on Breaking Bad with it's slow start, so I was ready for how this began.
Love seeing familiar faces and characters beginning to pop up.
Watched episode 3 this morning. Loved the peek into the back story of jimmy mcgill at the start of the episode.
I watched the first two and enjoyed it. Nice to see the characters from breaking bad.
Just finished episode 3, thoroughly enjoyable, I think this is going to be a great series.
Yep, enjoyed episode 3 too. Is he wearing an LCD watch - a Pulsar or a Hamilton?
Downloading it now for tonights viewing :-)
I enjoyed Ep3 also... now we seem to be getting somewhere ;)
Saul Goodman
's all good man.
Am I the only one that didn't get this immediately?!
Have to admit, I didn't immediately pick up on it, but now:
You can download it from torrent websites and newsgroups but not Netflix.
No spoilers please! Ep3 on tonight's viewing menu, if I can shake the 710.
S'all Good man!
I loved breaking bad. It was one of the best things I have seen for years. I am enjoying this as well although it has a hell of a lot to live up to. BB is going to be a hard act to follow.
I'm also enjoying this series - the last thing I watched in the same way, looking forward to each episode with relish, was BB. Having said that I tried to rewatch the first season of BB with my wife recently and it is so slow I'm amazed I stuck with it. Very glad but amazed!
I rewatched the complete two series during a flight from Duesseldorf to Ft Myers and back. Thing is, that details in the first few episodes turn out to be very important in the later part of the series. I'm watching Better Call Saul the same way: what sort of clues are 'handed' to the viewers? I'm sure that Jimmy's/Sauls past will be back later in the series.
Episode 3 was great - once again.
Menno
Episode 4 was great too, enjoying this! Time for some cucumber water and deep discounted mani-pedis!

Cheers for the heads up.
Really enjoying it, Slippin' Jimmy is the man!
Just finished with episode 8 loving the series so far.
Interesting to finally know more about Mike's past and keen to see what happens with Chuck.
Great thing is, you can view all episodes as a single story, but I'm under the impression that -like X-Files- there's a bigger plot and that we're lured into something interesting.
Menno
I am enjoying this so far the last episode was my favourate . I guess I wouldn't be the first one to compare it with Breaking Bad. For me BB comes out on top.
I purchased the Breaking Bad blue ray box set from this very forum and spend 4 weekend with the family watching it! Now we are all truly addicted and will watch this tonight. Thanks for the reminder.
I really enjoyed this weeks episode. I think it's my favourite so far.
Genuinely gripping at the end there. Great scene with him and his brother. This show is really gaining some traction.
Wonderful depiction of a man's slow slide from integrity to the immoral and amoral character in BB. First class entertainment.
I was hooked on BB, so was delighted when I heard about this show. I've only seen E1 so far, and found it a bit slow - I take it I should stick it out judging by the reviews so far?
So that's it. Series 1 is over with. I really enjoyed the show. I'm glad they had the BB link in the early episodes, it got you hooked, but from there it took on its own identity. I think it's fair to say in isolation it stands on it's own.
I haven't read anything to say there will or will not be a second series, but I really hope there will be.
To be honest I hadn't realised episode 10 was the last in series 1. But I quite enjoyed the series and looked forward to it every week.
I just looked it up on Wikipedia as follows:-
'The first season, which premiered on AMC on February 8, 2015,[5] consists of 10 episodes. In June 2014, a second season of 13 episodes was ordered, with the episodes expected to air in early 2016.'
Interesting ending, how his life could have taken a different turn if he had chosen to!
Guess he enjoyed that week regressing back to 'Slippin' Jimmy' too much.
Looking forward to the next season but wow, that's a long wait.
