RNLI for me - did you know 92 per cent of their funding comes from public donations?

    Great gesture :)

As many have said before, it is a lovely gesture and one that I will fully support by making a donation this week to our local cancer charity, who are looking after my poorly mum at the moment.

    Thanks,
    James

I think the idea is you make a contribution to gain entry to the draw, not just if you win :-)

Not been on in a while but nice to see its as friendly as ever and what a generous offer donation made to Cancer research from me.

  28. #78
Really generous offer and has given me the nudge to donate to The Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund, feel slightly ashamed as I shouldn't really have needed the nudge.

  29. #79
I will donate to CR-UK. My dad is a survivor.

    Hi,
I just donated some money and games to my local hospital ; more specific the childrens oncology ward.
They do some tremendous work there and the kids need all the distraction they can get!
I would love to take part as well and hope we can all raise more money for several charities this way...
    Thanks for a splendid idea!
    Kind regards,

    Marc

Great idea I'll be donating to the Salvation Army and the Red Cross. Both have helped out family of mine when they were in need so I like to repay them as much as possible.

What a nice thing to do Christian, good for you!

My donation will be made here

    http://www.gofundme.com/qmtyyc

and should I win the watch it will be right back up for a raffle for the same cause. Errol is a fantastic guy and it breaks my heart that he has never even had a holiday! Some people really have it tough.

This is a very kind gesture Christian... It's what makes TZ a great place to spend time at. Count me in... I'll throw some money into Eddie's pot and also will get some money to the RAF fund in my Father in Laws memory too.

    Have a nice weekend!

Incredibly generous. My 8yr old daughter is running 5k soon in support of Impact UK. I've already promised to sponsor her (of course) but I'll put a little extra in for this.

    We have a winner :)

Due to visiting the parents-in-law during Eastern Easter :D, no printing device was available, so I just wrote numbers from 0 to 9 twice and then asked Katia to pick up two tickets from her red hat (based on the fact that we had almost 100 posts, it resulted that any combination of 2 tickets will lead most probably to the number of a donation post; should it have been one of my own or some others members comment posts, the drawing would have been repeated... but it was not the case).

So, here's the story (apologies for the quality of the quality of the pics, no camera was with us, so a cell phone had to do)

Just before going to sleep, Katia prepared:

    Draw the winning numbers:

And was happy with having done her part in the raffle:

A more close up view to the winning tickets (horrible writing, sorry):

Long story short, the winner is alan2273, respectively post number 85 in this thread. Alan, I hope you will enjoy the watch, let's get in touch for the shipping details :)

Many thanks guys for all your generous donations and many thanks Eddie for your great forum!

    Cheers,
    Christian
