Something a little different for me today - a '64 Accutron with bow-tie lugs, champaign dial and batons. In rather better condition than its owner who is two years younger!

For anyone who might be interested, the 709L dial is out of a 7A38-7070 and the bracelet's a Seiko p/n Z1020S.
Proper job this afternoon - an unmolested example, as Seiko intended it. Actually this one's a 7A38-7029, US market model, but in all other respects - apart from case-back stampings, virtually identical to the stainless 7A38-7020.

Thanks. I was pretty chuffed with it, because it is so subtle. The 709L dial from the 7A38-7070 is effectively the same as the correct 7A38-7020 / -7029 703L dial, but with the colours reversed.

chiefs at TAG wanted me to spend £300 plus on rubber + deployment buckle, and refused to admit the normal strap / buckle combo BT0710 fitted the case perfectly, as below... for £80 :)

A rare gig at the Russian Embassy in Berlin; if you're a fan of Stalinist neo-classical architecture then you'd be in heaven.

I was quite surprised; they were very relaxed about it and I could have brought a DSLR - others had them. I left my work Blackberry at home .
