Lovely, perfect dress watch in so many ways... What is the diameter on this one Tony?

It is, isn't it? The case is a little over 37mm without the crown.

I love to see a watch like that with no date display to spoil the symmetry...
    Looks fantastic....

    Beautiful watch (and photograph).

It's nice to be reminded that there is something really satisfying (or cathartic?) about winding a watch.

Hmm, nice pic but the watch is not for me.

    Yup... I'd wear it

All that cash for just a Seiko?
I mean it doesn't even wind itself!

Also, I'm joking, nice and simple, classic dress watch

Absolutely spot on, that is very nice buddy

It's easy to underestimate the versatility of this watch - it is more than a simple, elegant, classic dress watch. It is well put together and feels sufficiently robust to allow worry-free everyday wear. Stylistically it's never out of place either - lose the alligator in favour of ostrich or shell cordovan and it compliments...no, elevates chinos and polo remarkably.
Someone wrote that versatility is really just a measure of how much you like a watch and are prepared to find opportunities to wear it - maybe that's it.

^^^ Nicely put. I find I can wear this with/for anything. For some reason it seems more versatile than its date-dialled cousin.

Perfect size for me too. I like the subtle differences to the other GS models, like the hands which appeared chamfered (is that the right word?) rather than polished along the edges.

I think it's a watch only a true GS aficionado would appreciate (and I'm not in that camp).

I can't help thinking of my '60s Omega Seamaster 30 when I look at it.

    Nice photo though!

Its the SBGW001... not produced for some time, but there are occasionally one or two around if you look hard enough.

It does have the same kind of simplicity as the old Seamasters, actually.

This one would be perfect as for a one-watch guy, so versatile design, congratulations, Tony.
Could we see the other side?

Sure, although it's fairly simple in terms of design... the screws are a little different, though.
