1982 Fiat X19 in the garage and a 1985 Vostok. Neither get much use, and both made from crap Russian steel = Match
Fiat Coupe 20vt and Glycine Sub Combat. One is unreliable, the other is well built... Both are fast! :D
I reckon this is a pretty good match.

1998 Rolex Daytona = 2009 Mitsubishi Evo X
Perfect match, both desirable (for some) both not as expensive as performance/build comparable items, both mass produced yet not seen often (in my part of the world)
Holy thread resurrection..........
Anyway, I`ll chip in because I`m currently awaiting completion of my new-old car, a 1970 MGB Roadster that's being totally rebuilt. Should be in my garage now but it isn`t.....quite.
Speed/performance are so passé thesedays; given the reality of today's roads an MGB with an uprated engine will be fast enough, and a whole heap of fun on a summer's day. I`ve owned/rebuilt a few so it's a nostalgia trip for me too. Driving a classic car to it's full potential is somehow more fun than the frustration of a modern performance beast that you can`t use properly. Someone told me that 10 years ago and it's taken a while for me to grasp it.
Question is, what watch goes with the car? Gold Omega Dynamic (late 60s) is getting my vote at the moment, together with a medallion and chestwig. Alternatively, a chronograph and rally jacket might work.
As ever, I welcome the input of the TZ collective, constructive or otherwise

Some awesome cars on TZ as well as watches! Good effort chaps.
Tasteless car....
Tasteless watch....
works for me
I probably could have picked a more suitable combination though, like a tuna (but where's the fun in that)
Allow me to lower the tone of this thread (and no doubt leave myself wide open to abuse) ....
The 'weekend toy' - a Fake Ferrari (Noble P4 replica, powered by modded Renault PRV V6 on Webers):
Though it does have a few authentic 'correct' Ferrari bits, such as genuine 250 Lusso tail lights:
One of a few self-built Franken watches - a Fake Ferrari - powered by Seiko 7A38, naturally.
(Cartier Ferrari Formula dial and hands in a 7A38-7060 case, fitted with 7A28-7020 bezel).
Though this modded 7A38-7270 probably matches the dashboard dials rather better.

Apart from having a servo fitted, I wasn`t planning to upgrade the brakes. I can`t recall having issues with the brakes on previous models I owned; getting these cars to go properly was the challenge, not stopping them.......but maybe my memory's being selective.
The car should've been finished 1 month ago....main priority for me at the moment is to get the restorer to finish it as agreed, then I`ll decide what to modify.
The watch choices are ready and waiting.........medallion and chestwig are in hand
Re the Fake Ferrari, it looks like a load of fun to me.........and that's what 'weekend cars' are all about, whether it's track cars or classics.

Not really now..
Used to own some performance cars (R32 Golf, E34 M5) but they went to help fun a wedding and extension on the house.
Now I still own the same watch/watches from that period of my life but now we own a Signum with the wife being the main driver as I commute via running or biking and only drive the car at the weekends. With the wife being a childminder the car gets trashed, have thought about getting a second car but all honestly not sure if I can be arsed with the double tax, insurance, MOT etc.. Rather another watch..
W211 E class merc- big, silver and highly efficient with lots of features
Breitling B1, big, silver and highly efficient with lots of features.
Not sure what watch matches Shanks' pony...
Useless information point ...a friend of ours created the character with Curtis and Atkinson & in that photo I think I'm about at the chicane at Goodwood as Rowan was going through there in 2009...
As to cars... g shock, breil, tissot, TAG no match really to the 63 Mini drophead that I was driving on that lap, the day to day Honda CRv dog transport and 62 Austin A40 Farina, Bentley turbo RL and 54 Bentley R type (James young model)

I traded in my old Vespa PX for a new model a couple of weeks ago, but I thought it went quite well with a LIP Nautic Ski 2nd generation (well the colours, matched - which is the most important!).
A couple of 70s classics that rapidly fell out of fashion.
I wear a Speedmaster Pro most days and my car is a Toyota Tundra pickup - so no, they don't match.
lol!!

For me, most of my watches and my cars have the same origin as they come from the Land of the Rising Sun.
That is so cruel Lampoc, but so funny too!

Right that's way too much useless Googling now, I'm off to bed.
No match here. My watch is a Tudor Blackbay: mechanical, fairly retro design. My car is a BMW i3: weird looking, ultra modern and battery powered. The only common denominator is that I perceived the BlackBay to be excellent value for money and likewise the i3 (as a company car).
No, that was a steel Seamaster day-date (36mm, 166.032 case ref, cal 752).........I`m thinking about something a bit more flamboyant. My gold-capped Dynamic on a black leather strap fits the bill, and it'll match the gold medallion better. Seriously thinking about a velvet jacket and some flared kecks or loon pants too; the car's a 1970 model so it's vital to get the period look correct.
I could go the whole hog, with a Jason King moustache and a wig........but I don`t want to end up looking like a twat
Hopefully the car should be with me next week...pics will follow!

I have c.30 watches and two cars - As I don't have 15 identical types of two watches, it's hard to draw much of a conclusion...
M.
Hmm I dunno... Alfa Romeo Guilietta and Omega Seamaster??
My 1979 G wagen, first registered in 1982 which lives mostly without it's soft top so the PRS82 seems to match quite well given that it 's always raining in Dent
Perfect climbing frame for the kids when it's not raining
Having said that my tough as nails Speedbird seems to go well with it too:)
Pam 000 and Daytona black dial, I drive a Mk2 G60
Well, I drive this......
So I think it probably goes with any of my Breitling Seawolf, Seiko Monster or my G-Shock. All chunky tool watches, to match my chunky FJ Cruiser!

I think I have two good matches:
Guards Red Porsche 911/Pepsi Rolex GMT-II Master
White 1989 Peugeot 205 GTi 1.9/1985 Casio DW5600
Less and less so but still occasionally on a weekend am in my minivan ( takes a real man to admit it). At those times I feel a perfect watch to compliment it would be my Seiko Sumo- as bland and as boring and as devoid of any kind of appeal as the minivan.
My matching theme is old and falling to bits (in the case of the car) and vintage (a much better word) in the case of the watch. A 2001 Ford Fiesta used for taking my Newfoundfound dog for walks (yes, you can get a Neufi in the back) and a 1974 Rolex 1665 DRSD with a mark iii dial.
Well, I bought this on the Mercedes stand at Goodwood FOS many, many years ago. It's cheap quartz crap, but IIRC it was only £15.
And somehow along the way I ended up with this..
Cheers,
Plug
Black Audi Q5 and a GMTIIC - good match I think :-)
Audi S5 (black) and Sub C. I've never really thought about it in those terms, maybe there is some subconscious link.
As Audi drivers are the new BMW drivers perhaps I can be an honorary member of the 'wankeristi' (or should that be 'wristi'....).
