Bought on here a few months old and just before the sales corner rules changed. I still like it so much I don't care that I don't have enough posts to buy anything else!
Tag Heuer 2000 series Chrono in 1991. This became the first in a succession of Tags that have all since been moved on. Sold this one also but had to buyback as chrono not working. Cannot bring myself round to spending £400 + on service , so it will remain as a reminder to the start of my expensive watch obsession.
Titanium IWC Aquatimer since 2000. In 2023 it gets handed on to my son!
That I still wear - my Speedmaster, which I bought in 2008.
Oldest, but has been stuck in a box for years - my old Traser H3.
A Yellow GOld Rolex Day-Date I bought in the 1990's.
I wear it when I want a bit of bling.
My Hamilton Intra-matic.
Given to me on my 21st, July 1988.
I bought this in a market in Cambridge in the mid-nineties. Bought it because I had quite a few Hermes ties - it might actually be from them as they've comissioned quite a few watches over the years. Or so I like to think.
Rolex Datejust, oyster bracelet, salmon dial, roman numerals. Bought in 1998 with the first monies i received after i went self employed.
I "gave" it to my Dad about 10yrs ago and he has been wearing it ever since. The one watch i will never sell.
No fancy stuff from me I'm afraid. The longest member of my collection (that doesn't sound right) would have to be this:
I bought it in the early eighties and was really useful at work for storing phone numbers, passwords and the like. I'm sure if I fitted a new battery it would spring to life again. Unfortunately, as you can see, I broke the casing at the top when I once tried to fit it on to a nato! Silly me.
