I'd hardly call this innovative. They saw it in James Bond 10 years ago with the invisible car. It's a Web Cam and a monitor on the back of a lorry.
If you cant see where you are safely overtaking you shouldn't overtake. If you do and die then this is referred to as natural selection ;)

I think it is a great idea, but is there not a risk that cars will not see the lorry thinking there is an open road ahead?
