    Azabu Tailor, an update.

Having owned the limited edition Azabu Tailor for a few monts now, I must say I'm impressed.

Overall people liked the watch, but on a critical note some had a problem with the 6r15 in a watch costing about 800,- GBP including VAT.

Well, all I can say is, the watch looks really great, even more so with the summer and short sleeves, the new clear coating on the sapphire is really impressive and dia-shield has prevented even the finest hairlines.

But, even more impressive is the out of the box 1sec/day slow performance of the 6r15. All my 6r15 watches run within 10sec/day, but this one is a clear winner. I guess Seiko does some extra regulation on the more expensive 6r15 powered watches.

For me the overall feeling is that of a much more expensive watch, made affordable by using a simple sturdy movement.

Unusual name - I did a quick google and couldn't find any backstory. Any idea why it is called that?

It's a limited edition, (they did 3) in coöperation with Japan's biggest business suit supplier, a sort of Japanese Hugo Boss, called Azabu Tailor. The "normal" versions have different dials and are on a bracelet, this came on a blue croc strap with a brown and white calf strap as an extra.

The way Seiko nail that dial puts many other manufacturers to shame. That style of dial is one of their fortes imo - so often they get the design spot on.

Would've been easier to just link to Daddel's original thread, since the specs are in it, in post #15.
