I start the day with emptying a BMW 750 gear box on its oil.
Next step was the engine and the owner told maybe it's smart to pull off the oil pan because sometimes the oil pump is loose on this V8.
I guess this was a very clever advice because this is how it looks inside the oil pan.
Oupps a loose screw.
Here is where it belongs and the one below was soon going the same way. I have to tighten them all a bit.

In Quality Assurance terms, I think that sucks!
That bolt would NEVER have fallen out during use on a British Leyland. It would still be lying where it fell on the assembly line.
