Same router for the whole house?
Gents,
My wife is having real trouble logging into her corporate VPN from home. We have tried logging in with a mobile hot spot - no problem. We can also log in via another internet connection in our other home.
However, from this location, she cannot log into the VPN, it sometimes says connected but never works properly. I assume this a router settings issue - but what settings could this be?
She really needs this to connect to her office!

Is this a Virgin router you are trying to connect using ? If so, then you need to enable VPN and pptp settings in your router

It is not a virgin router... it is a motorola combined router modem job...
I have just installed a new router and separate modem - we will see if throwing equipment at this problem will solve it.
On the old set up, I tried a ping of 8.8.8.8 and received a few timeouts over the wireless network. With the new set up... a few timeouts...
The new router is a linksys ac 1200+
Will wait till my wife gets home to test her VPN.... I really hope it works....
Well the problem is fixed...
I went out and bought a new modem and router (the previous setup was a combined unit) and this all works fine now.
