    This New Chrono !

Having hum-ed and ha-ed for a month or so over which chrono I should get, I ended up surprising myself by getting the one you all know and have seen a million times.

Hardly worth doing so, [but I love it so i'm going to!] here's a few pix :-

Nice watch got the same last week.

Only gripe with it is the massive box and bits you get with it would have just preferred less 'extras' and a cheaper rrp :)

Yes - I quite agree: I knew the box was big, but it did seem unnecessarily enormous!

That is lovely. Hoping to get my hands on one soon. I think sapphire crystal is the way to go.

I never get tired of looking at new Speedmaster threads - I would echo the sentiments expressed on another part of this forum recently when someone was moaning about them - many people covet these in any of the forms and its a big deal to them when they finally get one. If you cant post about it on a watch forum.......

Anyway, this looks simply marvellous - congratulations and thanks for posting your pictures

Beautiful indeed, always nice to see good pictures of this fine watch.Congrats.
Just out of plain curiosity (I'm deciding which one to buy myself) why the sapphire over the "sandwich" one?

The 'sandwhich' is the version with sapphire front and back, the other option for the Pro is the 'original' with the hessalite front and solid back. I personally went with the sandwhich because I prefer the more hard wearing sapphire front and it is nice to see the movement :-)

    Congrats on your new Speedy.

Getting the OEM deployant and strap was a good move, it is much more comfortable than the bracelet IMO.

I bought the bracelet version and then the oem rallye strap afterwards but can't get on with the deployment which feels too curved and digs in!

Looks amazing on a strap so much so I'm tempted to get one for my sandwich...

A forum favourite for good reason. Great watch, congrats.
A work colleague was sporting a DSOtM earlier this week, looked great on a bund strap which I wouldn't have done myself, suited it down to the ground.
