Thanks a lot barryw :-) Very kind. I think around 40. Will post my fave sometimes this week :-)
Only 40??!! - I genuinely thought you'd say something like 400, I'm sure I've seen more than 40 different frogs alone??!! - I have 10 and even though worn rarely most of them (though not abused) show signs of use which whilst nothing major would show up in pics, yours always look mint 😉
I managed to loose a screw in the Case strap from my frogman GWF-1000 yesterday in Dartmoor National Park on the middle of the moors, so check those screws are tight.
Trying to source a replacement but they seem to be a bit rare. I will track one down somehow.
:)
Popped into the Gshock Shop in Covent Garden. No watches at 70% as promised, but some cool g models at decent discounts
Thanks @crazyp. Cool that you like it. Great colour indeed. It's the GW-9400KJ-8JR Love the Earth and The Sea Rangeman released back in summer 2014. As far as I remember I couldn't get it from the HK Casio stores ( Japan release only , JDM ) I know it's a headache and frustrating.
Grey works remarkably well for a watch. I have a KRINK and such a cool colour.
I'm puzzled with why Casio embark with all these limited releases - they'd do well as regular and would allow us Europeans to get some of the cool stuff. The regular range in general is a bit more subdued.
Covent Garden has a dedicated store, see my post above, but they have a pretty limited stock really. Not a frogman in sight!! :-(
When they do get limited editions and they do get them in very limited numbers, they go very quick.
I have picked up a couple of very limited ones from their website Casio online, but more by luck as soon as they are posted up they fly off the website.
I bought my krink from a dealer in Germany for below RRP, when I could not get one anywhere in the UK without paying crazy money as they were all sold out.
Contacting Casio direct for parts if you know the part numbers is good too, I think I have managed to buy a replacement strap screw from my frogman, it's not arrived yet but very helpful on the phone.
Close. It's a GA-100CM. I do have a GA-100MC and this is the same functionally, just different colours.
It's a speedo. First you tell the watch what set distance you're measuring over. Then use the stopwatch to time something over that distance. This middle small dial will tell you what speed it was doing. I...erm... couldn't live without it.
Yes, you can have either home city time or world time in the left one.
Cheers, I can see how that would be useful
Any idea what the small dial in this one does?
Love the Riseman! Almost as much as this thread!!
Yeah the Riseman is super cool. One of my faves :-)
Camo Froggy
After clearing the room under the stairs!
Riseman is now looking like this:
Pretty good fun in the summer holidays too!
My first (most likely of too many) G Shock arrived this week. Hoping another one comes in next week.
This is a GA-300 and I rather like it, although the hour hand is a touch short.
