Carved gammon and pineapple.
That's my Xmas dinner just there!
Gin+Tonic with a slice of lemon to keep the scurvy at bay.

+1......As a kid I grew up eating fish and chips in the 60s/early 70s. Nowadays it's hard to find good ones. Wetherby Whaler in Wakefield gets my vote and I might just call in tomorrow lunchtime!
As for killer food combinations........Curry + Yorkshire Pudding. Don`t knock it till you've tried it!

One opened in Doncaster this year, using proper dripping. Lovely. Based in the old Fire Station on Ledger Way. Eat in and takeaway.

Pie, mash and liqueur, Nummmm num num.
Just discovered at lunchtime today: Gorgonzola with garlic Spreewald gherkins
Recently at a local restaurant: Spaghetti alla puttanesca with strawberries.
Opinion was divided.

Chips, cheese and curry sauce
Strawberries and balsamic vinegar
Strawberries and black pepper
Pancakes, bacon and maple syrup
Baked potato, cheese and jalapeño coleslaw
Most good cheese with quince paste
Breakfast of champions that is Sir.
I'd also like to add kiwi and banana drizzled with honey and whipped cream on pancakes to the list. Also hot apples and cinnamon on pancakes.
Yes, I like pancakes! :-)
Coke and orange juice. Looks like muddy water; tastes like Spangles of my youth.
Baked potato, grated mature cheddar and beans.
Goats cheese and caramalised red onion chutney.
Blue cheese and mango chutney
Ham, 'processed cheese food' slice and pickle sandwich.
Baguette, brie and Patak's garlic pickle
Pastis, ice and water
Pint of Butcombe Blond & a chunkette of strong Cheddar cheese. Delicious!
For breakfast, Oats, fresh figs, Greek yoghurt & honey - sorted.
Great pre-workout snack - whole banana with almond butter spread along it then sprinkled with ground cinnamon. Awesome and healthy.
Quinoa, almond milk, couple of sprinkles of coco powder and some sliced banana - very tasty and filling.
Scrambled duck eggs on toast with a slice of corned beef. I very rarely eat bacon or sausages so it's the closest I get to a fried breakfast.
Here's a left field one; salted peanuts tipped into a bag of salted crisps. Don't ask me why it works, but it does.
Fresh, sweet tomatoes, lovely ripe avocado with Mozarella di Bufala, sprinkled with Balsamic di Modena and fresh olive oil, with some fresh Ciabatta to go with it !
That's just the starter (my absolute favourite - and ordering it whilst enjoying our stays in Cataluna.... )
(almost forgot, with a bottle of Verdejo or Albarino to accompany !)

Today I made a sandwich with cheap, white bread, ham and a big dollop of English mustard, delicious!
Well I love my food and could offer up many exotic delicacies, but in the spirit of this thread, here is my "seems-odd-but-it-tastes-great" combo :
It is ...............Baked beans and mayonnaise sandwiches ........with a sprinkling of black pepper !!.
Just-poached eggs, dark soy sauce, kaya and buttered toast. Black tea or coffee.
Scrambled eggs with chives and smoked salmon on the side.
Probably already been said but bacon and eggs and a pot of tea.....we have a winner.
Kit kat (preferably the 4 finger classic) and a glass of very cold milk - magic!
