Cheap, but unusual. This F1 is a very basic 7t92 chronograph movement, vastly inferior to the more recent 'Sportura' branded spin offs, but never intended for the UK market so quite rare on these shores.
I gather they did a few different variants of these, but none really appeal other than this blue one to me to be honest.
It's in the 'NOT FOR SALE!!!' box... that poor box is currently overflowing.
And here it is next to another new arrival, a Mickey Mouse Seiko which was to be another 'keeper', but I'm fed up with it already so it's gone to the old Seiko graveyard that is E.bay. Far too small and the strap is knackered.
MM300,Ananta and gold tuna.
Some real crackers! Love this thread. :-)
2 new arrivals this week and one departure...
the outgoing..
and the new (well, the spork has been a lodger before :) )
I have to admit I am quite smitten with this one, I just love how light this watch is and it goes with any colour Zulu strap. I recently had to sell a few because I had to replace my car and the Shogun has been on my wrist every day since it arrived so I didn't mind the others leaving at all. I think it's the most comfortable watch I have ever worn.
I always hated the Shogun hands but I am now a convert and love them, the lume is awesome and they are easy readers for my aging eyesight.
I've always felt the minute hand is perfect. I think the hour hand is what bothers some people, and I admit it took a little getting used to, but now I love it.
There's literally nothing I would change about this watch, and I don't believe I can say that about any other watches I own, including Rolex and Breitling (excepting perhaps my Stowa Marine Auto).
My first Seiko to add to my collection...
Love the Darth
OK - so it's a bit cliche but I like it. :)

just arrived this morning and im delighted. not only do I finally own a lug less tuna that fits me properly but I have a spring drive back in the collection.
superb work by seiko as ever...
Possibly the most varied thread on the forum, but with one common watchmaker.
This is bang for the buck IMHO.
Changed the strap on the Darth to an Isofrane with DLC tang. Now perfect, and holds to the wrist so much better
It's a great thread! :-)
Just arrived and on my favourite burgundy Zulu!
Sorry newcomer to this thread as don't currently have a Seiko so avoid talking about things I really don't know much about....as a Seiko was my first "proper" LCD watch when 16 so have a soft spot for them ...
sadly lost at a beach (though suspect one of a group of so called "mates" went off with it as it vanished when came back from swim to clothes pile)
Anyway, I digress too much but do keep looking at them and do like the white faced GS in
latest ABTW article... Bit of an interesting read I thought anyway on the SBGX117, SBGX115 models...
