    SOTC- My current High 5!

I don't have the number of watches that some other Members have in their collections.

I really enjoy these threads and just realised to my shame that none of these were in my possession a year ago

    Anyway

    Rolex Submariner

    Omega Speedmaster Professional 3570.50

    IWC Mark XVII

    Bremont Solo

    Breitling Aerospace Evolution

    Thanks for looking

I think that's a great collection, and whilst I've not paid a huge amount of attention to Bremont the Solo fits in very well. Presumably you don't have a need for anything dressy, but I could see a nice Junghans, Nomos, Longines, etc making up a six that would cover all the bases.

Love the Sub but have you considered adding a pilots watch 😜😉

Thanks Tony. Not a fan of "dressier" watches TBH and the XVII on alligator works reasonably well.

I traded a Solo last year and I am really pleased to have snagged another a couple of weeks ago.

Might need to consider another MBII to add some variety

I love the Mark XVII and miss mine.

I know the IWC bracelets are great but I just think they look not quite right on the pilot. Having said this I have never had one and if I did I may be eating my words...

    Lovely set and great pic's

First 3 are as classic as they come, really fantastic entries!
I must say I like IWC most, had the pleasure to see it in person, truly magnificent piece, if I was to get one watch, that would be the one

personally the Bremont isn't for me, but the other 4 I would love to have in my collection (oh wait, I have 1!).

Tried on the IWC a few weeks ago, the bracelet is just magnificent, and I think the aerospace is the best ani-digi on the market. I think that's my first purchase of 2016.

I hate looking at sotc!! Dying for some new watches but don't have the funds (soon house is built the better)!!

That's a nice collection! Like the Bremont also!

Nice collection. I think the IWC suits a leather strap much more so than a bracelet. Gives it a classic look.

Great collection. I agree about the IWC on leather - This is my Pilot's worldtimer on leather:

It does, but the IWC bracelet is just so beautifully made...

Lovely set of 5; for me the IWC and Bremont are slightly too similar in concept, a white dialled Solo might solve that :)

Very nice collection. Really love the look of that bracelet on the IWC. How comfortable is it in comparison to the other bracelets in your collection?

What a great collection. The IWC is purdy, and the photo of the sub gets my envy glands pulsing.

I was thinking the same, or if sticking with Bremont an ALT 1C...

To my shame I had a white Solo previously but did not bond with it.
Also I let a cream ALT1C go as well.

The Mark XVII looks great on both alligator and the bracelet is sublime. It is incredibly well engineered and very comfortable.

I keep thinking about an Explorer 1 as my next watch.

Nice collection , like your train of thought re Explorer
This would make a superb "dress watch" and is likely to be my next purchase.

I use to wear mine on a Bob alligator to save the OEM and it was a lovely combo. Great watches.

Great collection, and (as mentioned elsewhere) I'll stick my head above the parapet and say I prefer the Solo to the IWC - although both are great watches.

I too like the look of the black solo over the IWC - purely on aesthetics. IMO an Explorer would be a great addition to your collection, possibly in place of the Bremont or IWC. I think you had an AT a while back too, that would be an interesting comparison to experience.

Still it's a great collection as is!

Thanks for the comments. I had a grey AT previously and although a great watch I was never totally sold on it. I may let the IWC or aerospace go at some point to fund an Explorer 1.

    that's a nice collection you've collected there.

the Solo is one of the very few Bremonts that i do like...i may have to look at one for a future purchase.

    wear them all with pride!
