    A Chunk of Rado Funk

Just received a big chunk of early 1970's funk.

    This is a first-generation Rado NCC-101.

It has a series 2 bracelet, which is a bit short for me. It would have had a fishtail braceletwhen it left the factory, as shown in this 1972 advertisement.

So, for the time being, I'm wearing it on a leather strap.

    Groovy, baby!!

    Very 70s!

Nice condition, wear it with flared trousers, chestwig and gold medallion.

I've seen "TV screen" cases before, but I can almost picture rabbit ears coming out of that one. Very retro-cool. I love the first few lines of the ad copy about belonging to the future and timeless design. Nothing makes such claims seem as nutty as the passage of time.

That's very nice - not perhaps as funky as the Beta21 variant but nevertheless quite something.

The series 2 bracelet looks a bit similar to a Revue GP-352 variant of mine.
