Rolex Yacht-Master Everose lowest price offered

    Hi Guy's,

Spent last week working in Malaysia, whilst in Kuala Lumpur I wondered into the Rolex Boutique in KLCC as I usually do when I am there. Got speaking with the sales guy and after discount the best price I was offered was a little over GBP 12,200.00.

There is no waiting list for the watch and you could have the watch as soon as the next one arrived at the store.

It does currently help that the Malaysian Ringgit is currently RM6.62 = £1.00, but I worked on a conservative conversion of RM5.90 = £1.00 just to be safe and the price came out as above.

The sales guy said that the watch was not popular in Malaysia, customers had purchased or tried the watch and just didn't get what the big deal was, so they are not selling that well.

    Cheers

I think it's quite lovely... But I'd rather have the rose gold Fifty Fathoms for the same vibe.

And regrettably already 'faked' - available in varying grades of quality and accuracy last week in Side (Turkey) for anything from £80 to £400.

Had read a thread on another forum about some traders charging a premium for them, obviously official dealers at RRP though.

I love this watch and since buying one, apart from paying way too much, i still love it. Its a rolex but still very different to what ive had before. The rubber is very comfortable and has a nice fit. Tbh when ive worn it my family have asked what it is, they have never bothered before so it catches peoples eyes. went out for lunch a few weeks ago and had a group of ladies at lunch next to me. Clearly money in the circle given all the signs, the one who was wearing a platona spotted the ym.

Its a great watch and nice for rolex to mix it up a little, i think thats the big deal, its a little unrolex, especially for the ym line. Just my opinion.

Wish id got one at the airport, called the uk ones and was told they have 15 paid deposits and will get one every couple of months.

    Kash

I like it but can't believe they didn't use a curved end strap.

Did you notice if they had a Blue, black GMT in Amsterdam airport by any chance? If so can you remember how much it was ?

    Thanks.

Stunning watch - imagine the marketing potential for Rolex if they decided to do something similar with the Submariner and Sea-dweller models.

Very nice! According to Rolex they produce both a 37mm & 40mm version. Is this the 40mm? I wonder what the price difference is? Presumably both have identical movements, just more metal in the larger watch.

Could I ask what's the difference between the YM and a Sub date ? (apart from the face color)...

There's an oyster steel case and the 3135 (I think ?) mvmnt in each. There doesn't seem to be a major distinction.

Having said that, I should know better, GMT-ii, Exp-ii, we're not exactly dealing in the greatest diversity here are we.

The most obvious difference is the bezel insert and in this case the precious metal used.

Otherwise, I would agree that they are very similar looking watches. Imagine if they brought back the red subs !!

Those wrist shots are incredible. Usually any sort of gold looks off to me, but that's the perfect amount of coverage.

Iconic have both in stock: 37mm £14k and 40mm £16.5k.

Yep thats near list for them. Movement wise, the smaller one actually has a newer movement, used in the pearlmaster whereas the larger uses the same as the sub.

The one i have is the 40, i think the 37 would be too small tbh.

The first gold watch that I really like, probably the shade of rose gold and the black from the dial, bezel and strap dressing it down. Thanks for the photos, definitely a new addition to my fantasy watch box!
