I was going easy on you ... I took this one more recently :P ... on Eddie's 24mm black Aviator (no more studs for me) and my own buckle. I decided that a black buckle doesn't suit this watch. Congratulations, if you've got one coming and look forward to having lots of straps for it.

That one looks more Panerai inspired than Longines and at 1250 euro plus 90 euro for sapphire, it's not cheap. Not a bad looking watch though.

No, they're not flexible, they're part of the caseback piece and are given a contrasting finishing from the upper case (brushed/polished).

Don't look as if they are. Our poor Zenos are pedestrian compared to that engineering.



Mine's been living on a one-piece Rhino for that extra pedestrian look. I like it how different straps change the presentation so much.

The look for the bexel nearly flush with the case is attractive, and smooth, however, it rather overlooks the utility of the raised bezel arragement, which enables the dial to be viewed more easily (it guards against 'overriding cuffs' and such like) and clearly (a more distinguished viewing point and'raised' profile).Together the serve a definite and useful purpose, whereas by contrast the other wathc is much more aesthetically inclined

One adjustment that could be made to the Zeno to marry the both aspects is to smooth the lugs. The polished lugs on the other watch look a little 'prissy, imho.

This is just a first version of the dial, I can have on the dial whatever I want, I would just prefer to have some writing there rather than leave it black. Any ideas for a good dial text are welcome.

Sorry I didn't realise you wanted to be correct but that you wanted a catchy name. Just had a look thru my files and the watch was part of what the company referred to as aviation Longines so might wish to call it Aviation.

I was speaking with Roland Kemmner about this watch yesterday. He expressed his profound apologies for not going forward with it and promised to give it his undivided attention now that other projects are completed/approaching completion.
