As I said earlier Mr.P., there must have been a conscious decision made at the (lengthy?) design stage to have only minute markers with no "5" gradations.But WHY? :?

That is the only failing with that dial apart from one other, imho, which is the lack of seconds graduations on the constant seconds subdial. The latter is personal preference, however one I am adamant about.

As it happens I am 'not' very fond of seconds graduations. I feel they are ok with vintage and vintage-type chronos but a modern tool watch looks much better without them.

Sec divisions completely change the look of a dial ... but there is room for everybody.

If you can get predict with absolute confidence the arrival of a photon at some specific point ... I suppose you could. Otherwise you are going to need something bigger, or smaller :rabbit: .
