I am considering one, too. It would be nice if it came with a bracelet with diver extension and without the "radiation smilie face".
It would be great if Mr. Platts could find a way to reduce the watch thickness, as it seems to be a shortcoming of the otherwise fine Yao offering.
If some makers offer 300m wr. for less than 12mm with a 2824-2, that could also be done with this homage and, because of that, be closer to the original.

Buy a different watch, none of this is going to happen.

The non-LE will have a "radiation smilie"? Not interested in that. Thank you for warning.

The bracelet, "no-Rads" and thickness, or the whole watch project?

I have been lurking in this forum purely for this watch (and the DN GMT) and I just wanted to say that I would love to purchase a Non LE PRS 50. Thanks

The non-LE will be identical to the LE except for the movement. On the wrist, you won't know the difference.

Smilie face and all?! - oh no, count me out. I'm far too serious a person for that. Emoticons belong of forums, not watches.

....that is, if the le is not going to happen for me. Sad, but likely not.

I think you're actually agreeing with each other. 11oss is interested because it has the dial symbol.

I guess there is actually some confusion going on. I thought that the "non LE" was originally not going to have the no rads symbol, now it seems it will.

The non-LE was always going to be the same, I don't know how this confusion arose.

Ok, now that I know how the non-LE is going to be, I would be interested (given that my chances of getting a LE are...null! ).

  24. #24
BTW, Eddie, if possible, what is the timeframe for the non-LE?
    Thanks in advance!

I am in for a non LE....

    Eddie,
I would love to buy a non LE PRS-50. I was broken hearted when I missed out on the LE. Happy it will have a no rad dial.
If you start a list for the production 50 please put me on it.
    Thanks

I think this is where the confusion arose. He was saying yes, no rads, not no, no rads.

    I think....

I'm very interested, it looks absolutely beautiful but I want to try S.L:s L.E when it arrives, first to see if the watch fits my tiny wrists before I make any promises.

    Yeah!

This is very interesting... I thought too that the non-LE wopuld be without the logo on the dial but this makes the non-LE in my eyes almost as interesting as the LE.

Sorry for being so upfront but has the price for the non-LE been mentioned anywhere?

 Well, I can resist not getting a LE (I was late and the waiting list is far too long), but for sure I WANT AT LEAST THE FIRST NON LE! And please, keep in mind that the tradition for gifts in Spain is not Santa, but the Holy Kings (6th January!) so mine will not be late if it is shipped tomorrow!

I'll not be shipping any of the non-LE until 7 January 2008 at the earliest. The price is the same as the LE, the specification is identical apart from the movements and the AS2063 was the same price as a new 2824.

I would have been on the list for the LE if it were not for the Radiation symbol  And for the same reason I wont have a non-LE.

I shame really as I like the watch.

I'd be interested but the plain dial is not to my taste. It's a tad 'empty' for me.
