I've been looking out for a nice G2 for a while and the going rate on the 'bay seems to be about £1000 for a G2 (about £900 if it's on a good forum SC) and was usually £100 or £200 less for the G1, but the scarcity of good complete G2's is now pushing up the G1 prices. there are a couple of well regarded Japanese dealers that seems to get them more often than most but shipping and the VAT have to be considered.
I'm patiently waiting for one to come up from someone I'm familiar with to avoid some of the pitfalls (second hand not lining up etc)

    A ball park?

£900/1000.00 in good nick on a bracelet with boxes etc for a 2nd generation 1st generation shave £1/200.00 off that.

2nd gen IMO is the better option.

    Difficult call....

advice so far is about right.

Availability with box, cards etc. is the issue now - expect these to rise in the future - Gen 2 more disrable at the mo....

I've been looking at them of late ( not buying, just looking ) and Mart's figures are pretty close to the mark.

Wish you well in your hunt

    Hi,

Bought one pre-owned 98% condition Gen1 recently, box paper etc but on strap, paid 950 , guess was a good deal.

BTY, why is Gen 2 a better watch? Pleae advise.

    Thanks.

Personally I don`t like em but I reckon they are a nailed-on cert to go up in value in 5-10yrs. Good luck, have a look around on completed deals on US ebay for prices.

Is there anyone on TZ who qualifies for one new under Omega's NASA/military only rule on this? Or have they stopped manufacture altogether now?
