Interesting VW site - I assume you're the secretary. Made me think of when I was 16 or so and a friend was renovating one of those (I helped as much as an idiot could) and I recall him installing doube Webber fuel injectors or overhead carbs or something! Anyway, after months of work the thing didn't pass its MOT test and it never did see the road.
